Story

At the beating heart of London’s Mayfair Village, surrounded by the chic shops, restaurants and galleries of Mount Street, The Connaught redefines the British luxury experience. An expertly-judged blend of old and new, The Connaught is the insider’s choice for staying in London, where service is highly personalised and with a genuine warmth of character. Magnificent rooms and suites demonstrate the best of both traditional and contemporary design, with beautiful, thoughtful, spacious interiors. Observing the passions of the modern luxury traveller, The Connaught is home to two Michelin-starred dining from Hélène Darroze, as well as culinary delights to be discovered all day in the conservatory overlooking Carlos Place. Tucked away are the Sommelier’s Table, a rare gastronomic experience for wine lovers and foodies, and the Champagne Room, where you can taste
champagne like never before. At the end of the day, the comfortable Coburg Bar beckons, or perhaps an expertly-made cocktail in the shimmering beauty of the Connaught Bar. To unwind, London’s only Aman Spa is a relaxing retreat after the bustle of London. The Connaught’s irresistible charm keeps guests wishing they could stay for ever.

This is the only place I have ever stayed in London- because the service is so impeccable! I’m headed back next week and so excited. The concierge goes out of his way to help you. Feels like family and coming home, honestly. The Connaught bar is amazing. They have the kind of bartenders that remember the drink u ordered two days prior. I’ve stayed at mainly Four Seasons properties all over the world- but this is one city where I make an exception. Thank you Connaught! Noteworthy details: Prefer the traditional side of the hotel bc it’s old world classic British. Gym and spa are great. The Michelin star restaurant was fabulous the last time I was there 6 months ago.
Second time here for dinner and I must say the first one has been better. I was by myself but the restaurant was full so a very helpful guy from the security found me a table at the bar shutout to him, he was super kind and professional Sadly I waited one hour for my food, when I received it I only ate the sushi crisp and not the shrimp salad cause I wasn’t hungry anymore after all that time so I asked for the bill. I paid for everything but let’s say I would have appreciated if the something was offered the coke, the water or the untouched salad to apologize for the waiting Then I went for a last drink at The Red Room and the experience was perfect as always
I recently dined at The Connaught’s esteemed restaurant with my mother, hoping for an exceptional experience to mark my birthday and explore what would have been our potential stay at your hotel during our upcoming London trip. While the dinner met our expectations for a high-end establishment, the subsequent treatment we received left us deeply disappointed and reconsidering any future visits. After finishing our meal and expressing interest in seeing the first floor of the hotel—a reasonable request given our plans to stay at The Connaught in just two weeks—we were approached by an employee who publicly humiliated us. We were rudely told to leave the premises because “non-guests” are not permitted beyond the restaurant area. This confrontation was not only demeaning but was made worse by being done in full view of other guests and staff, leaving us embarrassed and shocked at the level of disregard shown. Is this truly the standard of hospitality The Connaught prides itself on? To have a paying customer, who has just left a substantial amount in your restaurant, be treated as though they are trespassing is unacceptable. I expect better from a place with your storied reputation and high prices. The lack of courtesy and tact from your staff raises serious concerns about the quality of service guests can expect. We are now seriously reconsidering our plans to stay at The Connaught during our upcoming visit to London. Word of mouth travels quickly, and it would be a shame if this experience becomes the lasting impression of what is otherwise considered a premier destination. I sincerely hope you will take immediate steps to ensure no other patrons are subjected to such disrespectful and dismissive treatment.
For the price of this hotel, you expect a little more. The lead-in room is very small. There are no interconnecting rooms. The shampoo and conditioner is very chemically - not 5* products at all. There are many 5* hotels within London and to be honest - I would try another one before this one. However, the service is impeccable.Rooms: 4/5
Today was a great day of supercar spotting in London, and the people at this hotel were the kindest and most service minded people we ever met. The doorman told us everything there is to know about the history of the hotel and we were allowed to view the inside of the hotel, where we were kindly shown around by one of the employees. They are all so proud and so happy to work there. It’s the true example of perfect hospitality. Wish I had the money to stay there for even an hour!
Highly recommend the spa. Treatments were excellent by very skilled therapist. Beautiful treatment room. Swimming pool is a bit small but very pleasant.Service: 5/5
Whoever worked on 17th November evening it has given us a horrible experience of them all. We stayed a week ago in this hotel for two nights and today we felt like we missed the place so we went there for dinner at the restaurant after we had dinner we went upstairs to take a picture next to one of the paintings on the wall as we had similar in our home. When we did so a security member very rudely asked us to leave the space telling us we were not allowed there. Not to say it was my birthday it upset me so much that I will never come to stay in this place again and I will not recommend this to anyone else. Thanks
Visting from NYC,, we celebrated our honeymoon in a beautiful and spacious suite. Excellent service and excellent location. Dining at the Jean George's restaurant is a spectacular experience. Rooms: Spacious and comfortable Nearby activities: Excellent upscale restaurants Noteworthy details: Frette bathrobes
Gorgeous hotel. Everything is thought of. Definitely will be returning soon. Rooms are also very sound proofed which is good as it does get very busy in the foyer. Safety: I felt extremely safe. Walkability: Short walk to Oxford street, Hyde park, Selfridges.
Exceptional service and one for the good memories. The cocktails are worth being world known. Now I know why everyone should visit there once atleast Rooms: 5/5
