Loved this hotel so much. It manages to bring old world charm with modern conveniences together. The staff were top notch and attentive from the moment you arrive to the moment you depart. I took my first solo trip last year in London, and was a little nervous about being in a foreign country as a solo female traveler. I mentioned this to the lady who checked me in wish I could remember her name she was awesome! she reassured me and later went out of her way to check in on me to make sure I had everything I needed. Enjoyed my stay so much I will be returning this September! Rooms: The rooms were beautiful and comfortable Food & drinks: The bar was lovely and had great live piano music
We visited the Chesterfield Mayfair as part of a Hen party where we got Afternoon Tea. The Afternoon Tea was sweet shop themed and because we were a bigger group we also got some champagne included. The food was lovely. The sandwiches were delicious and the scones were light and fluffy. I really enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie scone! Some of the cakes we weren't as sure on but it was nice to have a try of all of them. We booked in advance so I would suggest doing that as it definitely got busy - especially if you have a big group. There is a concierge to look after coats and big bags as well which was very helpful.
The afternoon tea experience was absolutely phenomenal! Incredible quality and amazing-tasting tea, food, and desserts. So happy we tried our first London tea experience here. On top of all that, the staff were all extraordinary! Our server, Sakib, was THE ABSOLUTE BEST! He made the afternoon 10 times better. Amazing experience all around and highly recommended.
We had a great stay at The Chesterfield. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely with everything you could need. Location great for the west end and walks Into the parks. We definitely recommend staying here. Rooms: Rooms were a good size, we stayed in a suite which was great. Very clean with everything you could need. Walkability: Great location, within easy walking of the west end. Food & drinks: Breakfast was very good.
I recently used The Library at the Chesterfield Mayfair hotel for a proposal, and I can’t express enough how magical the experience was. The ambiance of the room is truly enchanting—historical and inspiring, as if stepping into a real-life fairytale. It made the moment unforgettable! The staff were absolutely incredible. They were not only super kind and supportive but also quick to respond to every request. A special shoutout to Samantha, who went above and beyond numerous times to ensure everything was perfect. She was exceptionally accommodating with all my asks, making sure I had the exact experience I envisioned. The Chesterfield Mayfair is ideal for any kind of celebration, from birthdays and anniversaries to elegant afternoon cocktails in the courtyard—and of course, for proposals! A huge thanks again to Samantha and Jasmine for making this day so memorable. I highly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a touch of magic for their special occasion!
We only stopped in for a couple of post-shopping cocktails and were looked after very well by the wonderful Adam and his lovely colleagues. Service was impeccable and the cocktails were delicious. Such a beautiful establishment with the perfect atmosphere and the most welcoming yet faultlessly professional, attentive team members!Service: 5/5
Plush! Room size sufficient with king bed and two easy chairs, desk and LOTS of storage and well appointed bath. The extras include turndown, nightly chocolates, coffee service in room, linens changed every three days, perfectly quiet, quick elevators, smaller boutique sized hotel with 7 min walk of green park station. Love this hotel! Convenient. NO complaints.
Cannot over emphasize how wonderful the staff is at the Chesterfield Mayfair. They were attentive, enthusiastic, and true stewards of their city with great recommendations for everything from food to entertainment to what beach to visit further along in our trip when we left for Athens. The hotel has lovely charm and a great location with easy access to the underground and Buckingham Palace. We visited during the summer and the weather outside was wonderful, our only complaint is the AC in our rooms couldn’t keep up with the breeze outside so it was a bit warm and stuffy in the room. Overall, still a five star stay with a six star staff. Costco also deserves a shout out for recommending the Chesterfield Mayfair for our trip. Rooms: Charming but the AC was on the weaker side and our windows didn’t open understandable for safety reasons but the heat would have been more tolerable with a breeze coming in. Nearby activities: Buckingham palace is about a 5-10 minute walk. Carnaby neighborhood is in walking distance for food and coffee. Park just across the way with great green space. Walkability: About an 8-10 minute walk to the underground with a station that can get you just about anywhere you’re trying to go in the city within 25 - 30 minutes. Buckingham Palace is within 5-10 minutes walking distance, was nice to see it in the evening when it’s significantly less busy. The nearby park is also gorgeous with a lot of benches to take a break from walking around the city. Carnaby neighborhood with great food and coffee is 15-18 minute walk, shout out to Hideaway Coffee with a great iced latte.
Amazing service & location. Everyone who worked at the chesterfield was so kind and helpful. Location is perfect, best in Mayfair. Breakfast at the hotel is not a buffet, but always quick if you are in a hurry. Espresso martinis at the terrace bar are a must. Loved my stay at the chesterfield and will come back next time.
We could not have had a better experience at the Chesterfield Mayfair! The hotel is luxurious and chic, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the location could not have been better. We were greeted by the concierge and front desk like old friends, and their recommendations for meals and travel were thoughtful and tremendously helpful. We can't wait to return!
