Went for breakfast and it was amazing! The room is buzzy and it just feels important. I had the granola and it was absolutely delicious. The pastry cart is also a real treat. It’s not cheap, but a great spot to impress a client or just enjoy. Also the holiday decor is lovely. Food & drinks: Excellent quality.
You must spend at least $2k per night to get a decent room or they’ll put you in a dungeon no lighting. I asked for a well lit room and was told that all their rooms were newly furnished! I booked the Mayfair room and it was one where photos of queen Elizabeth and celebrities hanging on the three surrounding walls. Who wants to look at photos of celebrities in their bedroom? If one truly look at the details, you’ll notice lots of stains in the carpeting? Broken picture frames, fridge not working, rusty specs on fixtures. I was so annoyed that my husband upgraded us to the Mayfair balcony room. Again, better and newer room but the choice of light colored furnishing leaves for ample opportunities of numerous stains left by prior guests. The check-in process annoyed my husband more as two of the owners teenage boys were running boisterously all of the lobby. I hope these owners doesn’t run this historic place to the ground. Pool was amazing. I expected a phenomenal experience and it wasn’t :
Wish I could give more stars Amazing location and staff were exceptional. Lovely historic rooms and well appointed. Can highly recommend the high tea experience our wait staff were excellent. Had breakfast in Claridges Restaurant daily and Hugh was awesome and so helpful. Dinner in Foyer & Reading room was wonderful experience.
Went to bar and for afternoon tea. Firstly the bar is great with wonderful cocktails that were superbly made. Then we went for afternoon tea which was pleasant. We were in the corner of a busy area and tbh there wasn't enough staff available to cover the number of tables. So it was quite slow. Also no-one actually mentioned what was included or not so we had a rather large bill at the end. The experience was good and fun, just could have been better.

Had Afternoon Tea and Dinner and was a marvelous experience. The sandwich selection was very nice and the ingredients light and fresh, the tea and coffee were exceptional and the champagne was lovely. Dinner was fantastic and was well plated. Can't fault anythingService: 5/5
Just spent the most wonderful night at Claridges. It was lovely to see the Christmas trees and decorations which make the hotel so festive at this time of year. We were greeted by Laura on reception who was delightful, and walked to our room, we have never experienced that in a hotel. Everything in the room was immaculate and luxurious, and we had been left complimentary champagne and cake. We enjoyed a meal in the main restaurant, and although there was a problem with our main course, it was dealt with in such a professional manner and we were not charged. Breakfast in the foyer was another amazing experience, with fresh cooked choices and pastries. The whole experience at Claridges is one of the best we have experienced in any 5* hotel, we felt very special. Apparently, after Winston Churchill left Downing Street, he moved into Claridges with his wife, and I can understand why.
I’ve had the pleasure of taking afternoon tea here about 6 or 7 times, and return because it is quite simply the best afternoon tea in London. The food and service are faultless and I always walk away feeling like I’ve had a lovely time. I’ve tried many other afternoon teas across London but they just don’t match Claridges. It’s a gorgeous place, luxury high end but never feels snooty. Yes, it’s at the higher end, price wise, but this is the best tea in London. Yesterday I visited with my husband, and we had a wonderful time. At the end one of the waiters asked if we would like a box to take home and my husband was delighted! He even included some cream and jam which was so kind. Thank you to Hazio for making our evening really special.
Went here for afternoon tea on 24 July 2024. We had a gift card, which was good as it costs £100 per person. The food was excellent - sandwiches, scones and cake. I particularly liked the very thick clotted cream. Our waiter was very good. Would recommend for the experience of the surroundings. We even got to see Bruce Springsteen!Service: 5/5
