We just stayed at the hotel last week for the culmination of a birthday weekend. And sadly our trip ended on a sour note. Prices were elevated due to Labor Day weekend in the US. Our check in experience was terrible. There was a very long line with only 2 people checking in guests - one of whom was occupied refunding someones dinner from the night before. I asked for an upgrade as per my travel package and was told there weren't any. We went to our room and the troubles continued. The view from our $600+ room was on a low floor with the view of an alley where a serviceman man was sweeping up trash. The room itself was TINY. No room to open a suitcase on the floor let alone 2. There were no drawers or shelves to unpack on only a few hangers in the TINY closet. I went back to ask for another room where I had an encounter with a front desk woman who told me - once again there were no upgrades. As she told me this the person next to me who was checking in another guest told him that she was going to give him a free upgrade since he waited so long to check in. We all waited a long time to check in!! Needless to say I was not happy. After a lot of back and fourth about how bad the check in process was and how bad the room was the woman I was working with told me her shift should have been over hours ago and basically wasn't going to try to help me. I work in the hospitality industry myself. This sort of customer service is never acceptable. After dealing with the VIP customer service dept we were moved to a room on a higher floor. The room was still tiny with no where to unpack but a least we had a nice view and a small balcony. We could hear the door next to us opening and closing all night long. I can't imagine what was going on in there. he walls are very thin. The wifi didn't work despite being given the password for the private server. I would not recommend this hotel anyone. Surly front desk service set us up for a bad experience from the get go. Topped off by a room so small only one of us was able to unpack a suitcase and only with hangers. I wish I could get my money back. I am so disappointed with this hotel. It was not how we wanted to end our birthday celebrations. Stay at the Hyatt next door.
Me and my friend had drinks at Nobu Hotel yesterday, and the experience was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their attentive service and warm demeanor were truly impressive. The ambiance was sophisticated and relaxing, and the drinks were excellent. Nobu Hotel clearly understands how to provide top-notch customer service. I highly recommend it!
Our stay at Nobu has been wonderful so far. We are staying at the end of a very long trip and it has been such a nice relaxing stay. We did the afternoon tea which had an Asian twist that was amazing. The room is immaculate and everyone has been very kind and helpful so far. Highly recommend if you are celebrating something special or just need a place to relax after a lot of traveling. They have gone above and beyond to make my husband feel special for his birthday.
Checked in to Nobu hotel to try out a new spot in London. Was very happy with my decision and extended my stay after the first night. A lovely lady at the front desk I believe her name is Gema checked me in and made sure I have a very good experience here. This finalized my decision of extending my stay. 5 stars!
All the 50 numbered rooms on each floor are within 3 feet of the elevators and service doors are on the other side, while all other rooms are behind a hallway door. It’s as though these particular rooms deserved some type of unique punishment. Additionally, the rooms are far too small at this price point. The fit and finish is very nice, as you would expect for such tiny spaces.nnA gent from housekeeping knocked on my door at 10:30pm. It was more than odd. I called downstairs - they said they would investigate and never followed up. No wash cloths or hand soap in the teeny tiny loo. The breakfast was excellent.nnThere are far too many other options in London for this hotel to be considered - unless they meaningfully lower the price of entry. Clearly not worthy of a 5 stars - even though it’s new. My guess is the hotel gave itself the 5 stars.
