I unfortunately only have one positive for this Hotel and it is location. Everything else was unfortunately not great especially fr the price you are paying per night.n- Early check in was going to cost us £80 so we thought we would leave our bags which was £60. Safe to say whatever you choose they will take your money.n- Checked into our room and the aircon did not work. Asked to change rooms and all they would do was offer us a fan. With no windows or flow of air, the hotel should not be able to offer rooms without aircon.n- Stayed 8 days and despite asking for someone to come clean, provide toilet paper and empty bins, no one completed. We had to empty bins and go down to reception and ask for more toilet paper.n- The information about the hotel stated ‘soundproof’ however the doors in the hallways were slamming shut waking us up through the night and you could hear the trains under ground.nnOverall, we were not the only ones with issues as everyone we went to speak with someone, we were in line with other people complaining. I’mnnot one to complain but paying high price for a hotel and not getting anything in return makes me very frustrated. Would not recommend staying here.
The hotel is in a VERY central location in London and has air conditioning. It is within walking distance to many West End theaters Carnaby/SoHo/Covent Garden/Leichester Square as well as shopping areas on Oxford, Regent and Piccadilly streets. It also has a tube station just steps away, as well as easy access to many bus lines or the famous black cabs. This made the hotel a great choice for a London first timer. I enjoyed the hotel. It was quiet and definitely enough room for our party of 3 three person room. If you are on the minimalistic side, you will love it here. They do have special rooms on alternating floors for hair dryers and irons, as those are not in your rooms and I believe there was laundry service as well- but we did not use it. I only have small critiques surrounding service/contact to get items- such as toilet paper, towels and extra pillows. Housekeeping did not come to our room in our 6 day stay, so we often had to ask employees in the lobby for items we needed. I would also recommend bringing a nightlight, as our room and many others according to the evacuation map, do not have windows and it was pitch black at night. We often left on a light in the bathroom to navigate when needed, but it was still too bright. I definitely would recommend a stay here if you like close proximity to food, theater and pubs.
nnI stayed here for one night. The location is good, the room was clean, and everything worked as expected.nnWhat really let the hotel down was how everything seemed designed to generate extra revenue. Even something as basic as luggage storage after check-out costs around £10. For a hotel at this price point, I expected a more guest-friendly experience. Instead, it felt like every additional service came with another charge, while guests are expected to do much of the process themselves through self-service.nnI don't mind self-service when it adds convenience, but when you're already paying a relatively high room rate for a three-star hotel, charging extra for basic services leaves a poor impression. The stay itself was fine, but the overall experience felt more focused on maximizing revenue than on customer hospitality. Because of that, I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.
We stayed here thursday late check in and left Saturday morning. The hotel was easy to find and is very central. Check in was smooth however.. finding your room can be quite confusing as it’s very grey and calming colours so easily go the wrong way.nThe room was as described on the website, plain and simple. Very quite very relaxing. Air con was perfect.nThe points that didn’t go down well for me is I tried contacted the reception by phone and WhatsApp at 23:29 to ask for and extra pillow, the response I got was ‘ Dear guest extra pillows are subject to availability due to high occupancy we are running shortage of the pillows thanks.’ Considering they have 700+ rooms that’s poor. There was a few are things that wasn’t great decor I mean bin full of dents no big deal but come on.. and plaster broken. Just little touches. Other than the minor decor problems it was wonderful.
We often visit London for shopping and usually stay at a Prexxxx Inn in Leicester Square. This time we decided to try something different and booked one night at Zedwell.nnThe hotel lobby looks modern and luxurious, and both check-in and check-out are fully self-service, which was convenient. The location is also excellent.nnHowever, the room was quite disappointing, especially considering the price. As soon as you open the door, there’s just a double bed with two pillows. There is no window, no desk, no chair, and no dressing table. As a woman who wears makeup, getting ready was incredibly inconvenient. The only mirror in the room is a full-length wall mirror, and although there is another mirror above the bathroom sink, there isn’t even a small shelf or counter nearby to place makeup or toiletries.nnThe bed itself was comfortable, but there were only two very flat pillows, which didn’t provide much support.nnAnother major downside was the check-out policy. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m., which feels unreasonably early. Late check-out costs £50, and luggage storage is £15 per bag, which seems excessive.nnAlthough the hotel has a stylish, modern, almost Japanese-inspired aesthetic, I don’t think it offers good value for money. Overall, the experience didn’t justify the price, and I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
