Probably the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Should be named the MOLD MOTEL! We booked based on the images. I don’t know where they stole the images from but they’re committing a crime selling rooms that you will definitely not end up in. We booked a specific room and reviewed every image with the booking listing. The room we were given was never listed anywhere on the site or shown for the room we booked. The room was filled with black mold all over the place, super outdated, very dirty dingy disgusting. The carpet was filthy, the bed had 2 flat pillows and dirty sheets. No AC. No soap. The walls and ceiling covered in stains, mold, and peeling. Room smelled of mildew. No bedside lamps no outlets even. Manager did not care about anything when issues were brought up and asked about a refund. No refunds. If we hadn’t checked in late we would have just went literally anywhere else. This place is running a complete fraudulent scam. Stay away. The pictures of the rooms they have up are not what you end up with. I would never stay here again or trust this place.
Excellent location on seafront and close to Town Centre amenities and restaurantsnnTypical Old Fashioned English Seaside Resort HotelnnGood value for money, room only stay for a September weekend 2 night staynnRoom spacious and comfortable with clean facilities and linen and towelsnnGeneral areas a little worn at the edges, but functional.nnIf you want better quality, you will be needing to pay more for it!!
Our first room was at the back, dark, grungy and the window backed onto the fire escape which blocked out most of the natural light... I actually felt depressed going back to this room. I don't believe it should be let out or if it is, it be made crystal clear what you're getting and should be considerably less than they were asking for it. Nothing like the photos of the rooms for when I booked. So I asked to change and was told it would be £15 to get a sea view room which was bright and airy in comparison but they didn't actually charge me for it which was decent of them. The sea view room was actually pretty good but still felt like the whole place is getting run down.nnOverall the hotel is rundown and needs some TLC to bring it back up to feel worth the money.nnThe staff are very helpful but you can't help feel they are restricted by some of the management decisions. For example, they had a live singer in who's pretty good but the bigger, better stocked bar with more drinks options was closed. I was in the other bar and several customers asked for drinks that were only available in the bigger bar to be told they couldn't have them as it was shut. Not great commerce in my book.nnThe location is great, perfect even and thankfully they have parking but it is £6 a day extra...
The best thing about this hotel is its location. Next best is some of the staff, who go out of their way to be helpful. Sadly the place is in dire need of a lot of investment and some tlc.nEverywhere is very down at heel. In our room the carpet was badly stained, making the whole room look and feel dirty. Also, don't appreciate Travel Lodge style soap/shampoo dispensers in run down bathrooms.nOnly had breakfast and I suppose one should learn not to expect much for £12. One can get a far better breakfast at IKEA for under £4!!nThis was obviously once a very grand place. Sadly, not any more.
I am glad that we booked a sea-view superior double room for our stay in Eastbourne with family. The hotel was an old however our room was amazingly space and the view from the second floor was splendid. Our family loved it and we could definitely come in and recommend to our friends.
