I stayed here when I went to see the Tennis at Eastbourne. The hotel exceeded my expectations for the cheap price. The budget single room was much more spacious and pleasant than I expected. I got a good quality cooked breakfast each morning, keeping me going for the day. This was handy as I didn't have to buy much food at the Tennis. The staff were very friendly and approachable. I thought that Daria did a great job serving breakfast and doing the reception desk at the same time.
Great location for the seafront and town centre. Friendly and welcoming staff. Late evening check-in wasn’t an issue. Room was small and basic but clean and had everything needed for a 3 nights stay. Could do with a bit of an update, but at the equivalent of £39 a night it was fine. Walkability: 5-10 minutes from the town centre, less than 5 from the pier.
Great hotel for its price. I was positively surprised. Nice, warm and clean. Everything that is needed after a long walk. Good bed and hot shower. Nice staff. Acceptable prices.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful breakfast and a lovely room... This great hotel never disappoints. Staff are wonderful here. Nearby activities: Plenty of holiday centres and other things that families and kids will love as well as the seafront. Safety: Situated in a lovely safe and relaxed part of Eastbourne.
Great, centrally situated hotel on the sea front. Very helpful staff and a very comfortable, compact room. Unfortunately, being off season, the restaurant wasn't open. But the breakfasts were good and there is a nice pub just along the street who serve a very nice selection of meals. I will definitely book in again.Rooms: 4/5
Thanks to the team, especially Natela, for their warmth, kindness, and excellent service.Rooms: 5/5
Great location. Free tea and coffee making facilities and a clean comfortable room for the weekend. Left luggage facility available for which I was grateful. Food and beverage services could be improved.Rooms: 5/5
It is so so nice. I love the fact that it is right in front of the sea. Me and my brother have ran outside, crossed the road and we were already by the sea. Just like that! It is also so close to the Eastbourne Pier, and to every other tourist attraction in the town. The rooms are clean, and the sea-view rooms are so bright. The entire building is so polished and nice to be in. It is fun to just walk around and look around downstairs. Their breakfast is also very yummy, it tastes fresh and warm. The entire hotel is just so homely and cozy, and it has this expensive feeling to it. Also the staff are so kind, and the receptionists' style is so good. WONDERFUL HOTEL!!
We had a great stay in the weekend. Some lovely people working there, all very helpful. Breakfast was good as well. You can park for £2 as a hotel guest on the promenade. The room was up to date and all stuff functional. I would recommend for a relaxed no fuss stay.Rooms: 4/5
This hotel is, as others have noted, ideally located. Right opposite the sea and not far from the shops, pier and restaurants. However, whilst our rooms were spotlessly clean, they were tiny. None of our 3 rooms had a view and in fact 2 of them were blighted by a huge extractor fan right outside our windows which came on at 7am every day. Presumably when breakfast started. So no chance of any kind of lie-in. Only 1 room had any kind of chair and that was of the straight backed dining variety. The curtain not curtainS, in any room in one room barley covered the window. The staff were lovely but the hotel was very odd. It was huge. But there was no useable lounge area downstairs - a cavernous bright area with white and chrome furniture waiting for.....a function/wedding? Breakfast was £9.50. But there was no variable rate ie: £5 for tea and toast. Full breakfast was very good, no buffet, but of you didn't want cereal, yoghurt, porridge, toast, croissant and full English then that was it. There was a well-stocked bar in the huge reception, breakfast, lounge area and my friend and I had thought we'd pop down for a night cap once our aged relative was in bed. However there was no one to serve and really nowhere to sit. There is a very well maintained seating area at the front of the hotel with a few bistro tables and lovely roses - we understood there had recently been a refurb - but in the evening the sun had moved west and the area was in shadow. If you want an inexpensive clean place to stay and are going to be out from early till late it is ok here - though you might have to hunt for a car space. I would say it was more of Youth Hostel standard. If you want a tiny bit of comfort 2 curtains, a chair, a large bath towel, proper double glazing, some quiet, or a useable lounge where you can chat so that you can rest for an hour or 2 before dinner then this is not for you. There were very few people staying when we were there at the end of May, and yet none of us had a room with any kind of view. We had not asked for single beds, just 3 separate rooms, and all of the beds were narrow singles. We enjoyed our stay in Eastbourne but I would not stay in this hotel again. The Russian staff were lovely and helpful but when we checked out we were not asked how we had enjoyed our stay. But if you want a cheap, clean, very basic place to stay on the seafront then this is for you.
