Decent spot for a night or two. Quite expensive for what you get, but I suppose you're paying for the location. The shower was lovely.Rooms: 3/5
We arrived early and was greeted by Amir and his warm welcoming smile. He was able to help us change our room as we had booked a single room by mistake and even showed us around. Our room was spotless, having recently been renovated and our bed was super comfy. Each time we came back in through reception Amir greeted us and checked we were ok. The passion for great customer service here is so clear to see, we really enjoyed our stay. As a travel agent myself I shall be recommending Hadleigh Hotel to my clients. Thank you Amir and the wonderful team
The hotel is looking tired and in need of a refurbishment due to worn carpets and tired decor. However, the hotel is clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant is good and freshly cooked with a decent selection. There is a nice reasonably priced bar in the hotel and entertainment on a regular basis
We stayed for the night having completed a ride from Winchester over the downs in the day. Reservation held for us until gone 9.00pm! Friendly service; functional, clean room. Breakfast included in the price and the lady the served us was brilliant her second day!: Grapefruit, coffee and tea, full English, just what we needed: quality of food was okay. Location was good: a five minute walk from the ncp car park and close to the sea and the centre of town.
The staff are friendly. The rooms are very small but they are adequate for a couple to use as a base from which to explore the environs. The bed is perfect for cosy romance. Toiletries are not provided. If meals are not included in your room price, then breakfast is reasonably priced compared with local cafés.
We were a little disappointed. Set menu with not much choice and every one was expected to arrive at the same time. Very loud entertainment so had to retreat to our room. Instant coffee but could buy real from the bar. Convenient location. Comfortable beds.
The hotel is about 2 minutes walk from the beach and the main shopping street with plenty of restaurants. The hotel room was smaller than expected but if you are a young couple on a romantic getaway this shouldn't be a problem unless one of you is a bigger size than normal. The room was booked was cheap and this showed in the lack of standard toiletries and the i failure to change sheets every day. Breakfast is of high quality though and we recommend having it included in your room price as it is more value for money than local cafés.
Room was lovely, very clean with a small but modern bathroom. Food was OK limited choices but left restaurant feeling full every night. The service however in the dining room is laughable with one stressed waiter with what can only be described as a stinking tea towel over his arm struggling to serve all the guests one at a time. The evening entertainment is ok with a different singer every night and a few games of bingo. The guests from the hotel opposite join us for breakfast which puts more pressure on the lone waiter Very Fawlty Tower esq service but on the whole a nice stay and the hotel is in a good location.
The room we stayed in at this hotel in August was a nightmare. There was a foul smell all the time from the bathroom. When we notified the reception they didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience. Except the bed and bath linen which were acceptable quality, the overall quality of the room in particular and of the hotel in general is very poor. The room was dirty and bad smelling. I do not recommend this hotel.
Old fashioned hotel with basic features. Headboard didn't fit properly and just took it off, no cup for tea and plug was stuck in sink. However, bed was comfy and lots of channels on tv. Excellent location. Very good value for money though so if you are looking for budget accomodation close to everything this is the place for you
