Some of the staff are not helpful. The bacon served at breakfast was burnt every morning. The veg served had a funny taste. The roast beef served one night was lovely and tender it's a pity the other meals were not up to this standard. Rooms: The room we had was nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and the furniture was of a high standard.. Nearby activities: Across the road from the pier and the gardens Food & drinks: Food left a lot to be desired.
Stayed here on business, hotel and rooms are starting to look a bit tatty. But clean. Shower water pressure was poor. All staff are very friendly, helpful, and tentative. Food is good and a good variety. Plenty of parking and hotel is in a prime spot. and of cause great sea views. Rooms: My room was clean, but the decor needed refreshing.
Tatty last century, minimally run to extract remaining profit, thinks it's 3 or 4 but in reality this hotel is fading from 2 towards 1. Unfriendly reception guy, poor quality breakfast, tiny room, view of much scaffolding. The best was friendly breakfast service.Rooms: 1/5
Room was very outdated, it would do with a bit more cleaning too. Good size though. We didn't use the hotel service, although the hotel stuff was super friendly. Hotel located in a great spot!Rooms: 3/5
DATED HOTEL BUT STILL COSY BUT THE MAJOR PROBLEM IS THE STAIRCASE TO GET TO THE ROOMS IS NUTS YOU HAVE SO MANY OLD PEOPLE STAYING THERE AND THEY HAVE TO CLIMB FOUR QUITE BIG STAIRS JUST HAVING A RAIL TO DRAG THEM SELFS UP QUITE SCARY WATCHING AS ONE MISTAKE THEY WILL TOPPLE BACK THEN A MASSIVE PROBLEM FOR THE HOTEL AS AN INSURANCE CLAIM WOULD BE SKY HIGH VERY STRANGE AS 80% OF THE OCCUPANCY ARE OLD AGE PENSIONERS. SORT IT OUT QUEENS PLEASE. CONOR AT THE BAR WAS FANTASTIC HE IS A NATURAL HEARTED PERSON THAT CARES FOR EVERYONE SUPER SHOW CONOR Rooms: Nice dated rooms but clean
Excellent location, very close to the pier. All the staff were very good. Food was the standard Alfa offering, good value for what we were paying.Rooms: 4/5
Avoid at all cost .the room was cold a dirty needs a good up grade .food was awful to say it was Christmas. The only good thing is the bar staff and waiting on staff was lovely. My husband said the gentlemans toilets want sand blasting as they were so dirty. What can I say needs shutting down and upgraded Rooms: Needs a good upgrade Food & drinks: Very poor food .meat on a Christmas day that you would put on a sandwich
Stayed at beginning of february 2024 with Alfa travel Hotel staff and food all great really enjoyed it. Weather was a complete washout but local shops easily within reach Rooms: My room was a lovely cosy double, very warm and spacious, large bathroom with shower Nearby activities: Pier, seafront and local town all within several minutes walk Walkability: Hotel faces the pier very easily accessible and only short walk into town and shopping area
Just come back from hotel food was either not cooked or overcooked did not one good meal complaint nobody was bothered will not be going back I have been to lots hotel over the years never had any problems olso fire alarm went off went outside no help from any staff to help people down with disabilities from 5 floor downstairs my room on 5th over looked scaffolding and birds
Just stayed here for 6 nights as part of Travelsure holiday. Speedy check in with helpful staff. Rooms very clean and tidy; plenty of tea/coffee/ milk facilities; good shower. Restaurant was excellent, too. Splendid food and fats service. Special mention for Ray, the restaurant manager, who ran the system brilliantly. Great sense of humour and very professional. Good bar, again with cheery staff. Entertainment was fine as well. Overall, a fine holiday and delighted to recommends the Queens if you are thinking of staying in Eastbourne.
