Great hosts, room is very tidy and fresh. There is an espresso machine and fresh fruits in the rooms! and the place is 2 minutes away from the beach. I will certainly come back again!

We came to visit London with friend from abroad. We decided to see England and meet New Year 2013 in city Eastbourne near the sea. We booked online a private hotel in the city within a few hundred meters from the sea . I looked at pictures appeared quite comfortable five-star guest house. We have it on December 30. After payment in few hours time hotel owner contact with us and told that our room is not available and suggested more expensive room. We agree and arrived . When entered they provide with useful information where to go to eat, what activities will be tomorrow . We got up in the morning went to ate English breakfast and room has been left with hanged card PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB. When come back we found them tidy up our room, they threw our food in the rubbish bag, which was nicely left on the table. We were shock after all, it is human rights violations to go in the room with hanging card. She said, it is my house and doing what I want. We immediately asked about a refund for a next day as we decided to leave her house. After a long disputing she try invite for us police and said that we were arrested and tell us that we are there nobody in this country. Felt tragically awful after all. It was totally damaged mood . In New Year's first day, returned to London with a huge experience about Loriston guest house.

Friendly …Fresh…Fantastic Friendly -The Atmosphere & Welcome Fresh – Very Clean & Newly painted, Freshly Cooked Breakfast Each Morning. Great Choice – cereals, fresh fruit, lovely kippers & haddock as well as the usual English in any combination Fantastic - Hosts & Customer Service & Rooms ( See Photo Room 3).Very good local info folder in room. Containing Restaurants & Cafes with Recommendations & Bus timetables & other places to visit. Booked 5 nights over the May Bank Holiday, but stayed 6 – Thank You Gwen & Patrick for a lovely time P.S you have to try Deliciously Gorgeous ( Coffee & Tea & Cake & Meat & Cheese Platters) & Dolphin ( Fish & Chips)

What a lovely guest house, I booked this to treat my wife for a late Valentines treat we stayed last week for a 2 nights, the Loriston is a lovely guest house, very comfortably furnished in a good location. We stayed in the Lushington room which has a lovely large 7 foot bed, leather settee and very generous well appointed ensuite. The extra little touches of the complimentary wine and chocolates were much appreciated whilst relaxing in our room. Our breakfast was beautifully cooked with a very good selection on offer. We will be returning!

Last week we stayed at the Loriston and from the time we stepped in the door we knew by the warm welcome of it`s owners, we had made the right choice. Patrick and Gwen made us very comfortable. They could not do enough for us but they also knew when to stand back. The bedroom we stayed in had a 7ft American bed. Large tv, side sea view, 2 comfortable leather arm chairs and large power shower with huge towels and bathrobes. The reason I have gone into detail is because it`s better that any large hotel we have ever stayed in and deserves all of their 5 star silver award. All at a very reasonable price. The breakfast also deserves the best award. The Loriston is spotless and the warm welcome makes it feel like just going into a luxury home. The location was a bonus… just off the seafront (40 meters) and… a free parking. We will definitely be going back any time we are visiting Eastbourne.
