Great location. As diamond member usually get nice upgrade. Lovely lounge great view into city. Good quality breakfast & good service. Handy having car park & benefit of swimming pool as well. Still haven't been in pool though stayed many times. I enjoy coming here & find it a good value hilton hotel
Service at reception, gym and room service 5/5. Really grateful for how well looked after I was at check in as very frazzled from journey. Loved that room service called after my order to check for allergies and that current times were ok, all of which was done with a friendly caring tone. Used the gym/ pool twice and on both occasions staff were great at getting me set up to use facilities. Only slightly let down by breakfast where I wasn't offered coffee or water and male guests were definitely getting preferential treatment and offered best seating.
An amazing hotel, we have had a fabulous time! The rooms were clean and spacious the lady at the front desk moved us to a room with a view!, they also left us a little welcome gift. The hotel itself is well kept and gorgeous with a pretty water feature in the lobby.nnThe buffet breakfast was to die for, with omelettes to order and fresh hot food.nAll of the staff we encountered were some of the most lovely I've seen.nnIt is situated in the city centre with lots to do all around for both families and solo travellers.nnI really do reccommend this hotel, and we will definitely be coming back with more family!
A lovely hotel that has just had a makeover. Every member of staff very pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a tyne view room for 1 night. Aa the room was only available for 1 night we rebooked another room which also had a lovely view. The girl on the desk think was called Libby. Looked if she coyld change it but couldnt. Breakfast in the morning was buffet style and plentiful. We could also order fried & poached eggs omelettes and pancakes if we wanted. We have stayed in the past not that often but the guy called Kevin at breakfast recognised us from previous visits . Which we thought was nice.im also a member of the hilton honours scheme. Gold. Which allows you some various perks
Stayed here 2 nights ago in an executive room. I stay here frequently and this is my first time staying in one of the renovated rooms. They are absolutely gorgeous and long overdue, loved the fact that you do not need to leave a keycard in for lights and chargers to remain on. Also a huge plus that there are now sockets and USB ports on both sides of the bed!!nnNiggles: No fridge in room an no master light switch that turns of all lights in the room, they all need to be turned off individually.nnComplaint: Absolutely no idea why they have evidently spent so much time, energy and money into renovating the rooms but not the bathrooms?? My bathroom had a shower curtain! I’ve stayed in Premier Inn that is half the price of my room and even they have walk in showers or a glass screen over the bath. Also not sure if this was specific to my room but the water pressure from the shower was non existent, it was so bad I had to use the facilities downstairs to shower rather than my room!nnOverall: excellent location, very friendly staff, beautiful new rooms and really good breakfast. However I will really need to consider if it is worth returning in future due to not being able to use the shower in my room. Might be time to consider competitors.
