Great hotel with stunning spaces to meet fellow travellers and relax.nStaff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.nThe deluxe room was spacious and well equipped but a little dated. We stayed here 8 years ago and it was tired then. However we enjoyed our stay and got a lovely room overlooking the river.nTwo other couples were staying alongside us in our party and they reported uncomfortable beds and not sleeping because of noisy neighbours on the floor above banging doors and floors.nnWe met the manager who was very friendly and helpfully took some photos as we had a special occasion.nnThe restaurant manager was also very helpful in decorating the table for us with the things i had provided.nnThe food in the bar and restaurant was tasty and well presented if a little pricy.nnBreakfast was very good , plenty of choice and very well staffed for attending to all your needs....the coffee from the machine is very nice.nnTiredness was sadly a theme though as all the seating in the bar lounge was grubby and needed a good cleannnThe car park was easily accessible and reasonable.nnWe did not explore the beauty areas or pool.
Just had the one night as it was a treat for a birthday. I’d mistakenly booked a room without a view of the river. Staff were absolutely brilliant. Changed to another room. No fuss. Just lovely. Nicest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Would definitely recommend and stay again if visiting Newcastle again. Thank you.
I was here with work recently and I highly recommend it. The room was fantastic and the views amazing. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower lovely and powerful. It's only a 15-20 minute from the train station go via the high level bridge to avoid the steep uphill with your case!. And the walk into town across the Tyne going out at night via the Quayside is perfect though be warned after a few beers there is a VERY steep but short walk back up to the hotel from the river. The staff were lovely and the yoghurt bar at breakfast had fabulous, proper Greek yoghurt with yummy compotes and seeds. One of the best breakfasts I've had at a hotel. Even the flat white from the machine was good.nI've given 4 star for service because:n1. we were asked if we wanted eggs for breakfast and we both ordered poached eggs which never materialised.n2. my hair dryer blew up while I was using it. I called reception for a new one but by the time it arrived my hair had just dried.
Fantastic hotel, amazing service, concierge couldn't be more accommodating. Good food, lovely spa area, executive suite has a fantastic view. Really enjoyable stay.
Absolutely loved my stay! The room had an amazing view of the Tyne Bridge — such a beautiful sight to wake up to. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, and the pool area was clean and relaxing. The service was excellent; staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is perfect, close to everything and ideal for exploring the city. Would definitely stay here again!
