First time we've stayed here, and what a lovely place. The views from our window see photo was wonderful to wake up too. Cleanest travelodge we've stayed in and the staff were so helpful. Free parking for disabled was an added bonus. Only small complaint was breakfast wasn't up to much as a lot wasn't available, plus it was mainly a buffet style which hubby doesn't like.
Reasonable price & comfortable room. If you can book ahead during the week you should be able to make a significant saving on weekend prices. Great location by the quayside. Also, the buffet English breakfast in their restaurant inside is worth it but an extra. Free car parking which is useful.Rooms: 4/5
Love staying here.. Always clean and the views in a morning are wonderful... Only go a couple of times a year but always get a warm welcome and the manager recognises us, which is always a bonus.. Always recommend to anyone going to Newcastle if they have never been. Because the walk down the Quayside in a morning whatever the weather is stunning
Normally brilliant. Room is great. Service is great. Annoyingly, THE BREAKFAST BURGER is out of stock. Judging by the ingredients for the burger, I believe that breakfast is not available tomorrow morning I have to make do with a regular burger with bacon instead at a ridiculous price of 11.25 Rooms: Rooms are brilliant. Comfortable.
Our dinner/breakfast was pre paid with our room. When we arrived back to the hotel on Friday after our days work our order for dinner was taken by a supervisor. They had no food!! She let us sit there waiting on food they did not have. Even after she was made aware there was no food she didn't have the decency to come over and tell me. Literally non of the options were available, not even dessert.
Booked 2 family room was told both had a pull out bed and mattress which one did not. Called even a week before to make sure and had a grumpy staff member who was quick to just end the call. Bathroom was not cleaned evident by the dirty water left in sink not even drained out. Both rooms had soap dispensers broken. Pillowcase had mould on it and the pull out mattress had a large blood stain on it Room 219 specifically. Clearly never cleaned. Corridor on both floor 1 and 2 has a vomit looking stain. Pretty sure I got bitten by a bug from there. When I came there was no parking space left, had to pay next door in instead. Parking is not free at the hotel anyways, regardless of what any of the staff say. I advise if you make the horrible mistake of booking at this place, book the parking place in advance. Lastly only received good service from one staff on the day of departure. Very nice and respectable lad. Fairly disappointed, most of the female staff were very dismissive and even told us that we didn’t have to pay for parking which was false. The lad explained the process to us and even helped us to contact the Horizon company. Would not recommend under any circumstance, there is literally an inn just next door. A bit more expensive but from the way it looks, definitely worth it. The only good thing about this travelodge is there location.
Great location for Riverside, lots of places to eat and drink close by. Nice and clean but carpet could have done with sprucing up. Good value for money.Rooms: 4/5
Could not fault anything until I read all rooms have Kingsize beds. I looked at mine and thought that's small until I pulled sheets back and seen two single mattresses pushed together. Not very comfortable or nice.Rooms: 5/5
Bed was comfy, room spacious. Bathroom very clean. Vegan sausages available at breakfast, and vegetarian/vegan labelling throughout breakfast. Wifi was fast. Rooms: Spacious and clean Safety: Front door closed to non residents after 10pm. Several key card doors between foyer and rooms. Walkability: Quick walk to the city centre Food & drinks: Vegan sausages at breakfast, vegetarian/vegan labelling at breakfast.
Clean, tidy and on the riverside. Breakfast was ok, could have been warmer. But had pizza on the evening which was really nice & with a pint it was £9 which is a bargainRooms: 5/5
