Great stay. Room really comfy. Staff on reception and doing the rooms were really friendly and helpful.nWe took advantage of breakfast via Too Good to Go app on the two of the three days of our stay that it was available meaning we ate at 10am after a good sleep in One portion of good food served in a takeaway box at £5.99 fed both of us adequately. We wouldn't have paid £16 each though for it even if we could have enjoyed it in the dining room with all the choices of what we could eat, so great to have had the option via the Too Good to Go app.nThe small car park was full on our return during our second day but we were able to park on the road outside as it was after 6pm until 8am the following morning, just meant we had to get up early to move it into the carpark at 8am the next morning. The hotel was very understanding and we were only charged parking for two days instead of 3 which was much appreciated.nGreat location just next to the Baltic art gallery which we love and the Millennium Bridge giving easy walking access to Newcastle and all the city has to offer.nThank you for a great good value stay
The good? Very comfortable room, bed and pillows. Great desk and chair to work at. Nespresso machine in the executive room with a view over the Tyne. Friendly staff on reception. Great location for a wander along past the Sage and the various bridges over the Tyne.nnThe not-so-good? Tiny car park that was full and took an age to get back out through the barriers. Full of contractor vans and 3.5 ton flatbeds, so you'd have to think long and hard as to whether you'd want to park between them anyway. Had to park in the Baltic car park, paying £20 for the pleasure of an overnight stay. Bathroom cramped and poorly designed - door opens inwards and blocks off the little toilet area. Shower fluctuated in temperature throughout, running from far too hot through to very cold, which makes me sound like Goldilocks.
Absolutely brilliant location!n2 min walk to the millenium bridge, cross over and you are ready to begin you're adventure.nThe desk staff are beyond miserable and I find it disgusting that it's £8.50 EXTRA to park your car at the hotel for 24 hours, yet check in is 3pm n check out is 11am so you're not even there 24 hours!!!nThe rooms are very clean and spacious, but the beds aren't the most comfortable!nWe had the neighbours from hell!! Security tried to warn them but it was ignored completely and meant we were left listening to the commotion until gone 1am!nIf you are looking to go on the pull in the toon, don't book here!! As all names are taken of booked members. So when we returned at 11pm we had to show room key card and give our names. I can understand why the hotel does this, but imagine others wouldn't be as pleasednAll in all I would use this hotel again for price and location
Perfectly located for the Glasshouse and walks along the river. Really amazing staff and really friendly. Clean and convenient are the top marks for this hotel. Breakfast selection good and again really nice and friendly staff. It’s a basic hotel with basic rooms, the staff more than make up for any shortcomings anyone might find.
Good location on Gateshead Quays. Place could do with some TLC but can't complain about the room as it was spotlessly clean.nLovely view of the river.nFriendly quick service at reception and the bar.nVery comfy bed. We were having a lovely nights sleep till some drunks had lost their room and banged on our room door for me to answer.nThey were very apologetic.nOtherwise it was a nice stop over and very handy for our night out.
