I think recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Newcastle and had an outstanding experience throughout our visit. The hotel was modern, immaculate, and maintained to an exceptionally high standard in every area.nThe staff were professional, attentive, and welcoming from arrival to departure, providing first-class customer service at all times. A particular highlight of our stay was the Club Lounge, where the service was truly excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing and exclusive, with a fantastic selection of refreshments and attentive staff who ensured every guest felt valued and well looked after.nThe room was spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped, offering everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The hotel’s facilities and central location also made it an ideal choice for visiting Newcastle.nOverall, the Crowne Plaza Newcastle exceeded expectations in every aspect. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again in the future.
nnCrowne Plaza Newcastle - Stephenson Quarter is a fantastic hotel with a great combination of comfort, style, and excellent service. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-equipped, providing a relaxing stay in the heart of Newcastle. The staff are friendly, professional, and attentive, making guests feel welcomed from arrival to departure. The location is ideal, with easy access to Newcastle city centre, transport links, restaurants, and local attractions. A great choice for business trips, special occasions, or a relaxing city break. Highly recommended!
I booked the CP as we were in town to see the Prodigy at the Arena and the hotel was very good.nReception staff were friendly and attentive.nBedroom was spacious and had everything you need for a pleasant stay.nBed was comfortable.nThe Gin bar has comfortable seating and nice decor.nBreakfast was buffet Great choice , bacon & sausage were excellent with additional made to order items such as eggs benedict , kippers etc.nParking is a short walk away 30 metres and costs £15 for overnight and you pay through an app but we found out at reception that it's only £10 if paid at the hotel , so keep this in mind when parking tbh there should be signage saying that CP guest have preferential rate & payable at the hotelnOverall a good stay and no hesitation in recommending.
I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The pictures made it look stunning and promising, but the reality was completely different.nnThis was the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed and i been places…at when it comes to food and drinks, yet the quality did not match the prices at all. The food arrived cold, tasteless, and we even had to send it back. For what they charge, the standards should be much higher.nnOne of the main reasons I booked this hotel and travelled from Oxford was to relax and enjoy the spa facilities. However, when we arrived, we were told the spa area was already full and there was a waiting list. Nobody informed us about this in advance, which was extremely frustrating and ruined the experience for us.nnThe staff were also unfriendly and seemed uninterested in helping or caring about guests’ concerns.nnOverall, the hotel looked much better in the photos than in reality, and unfortunately the experience did not justify the high prices at all.
A special thank you to Hannah at Reception who did the most welcoming Diamond Welcome we have ever had. It was as though she had rolled out the red carpet. She even put my car parking worries at bay.nnIn the evening Sally in the Club Lounge went the extra mile. So kind and attentive and we both loved the vegetable curry with salad. I particularly noticed Sally knew and remembered everyone by name. A 10 year member of staff here we must celebrate her anniversary in June. Please kindly thank her and the chef for the wonderful culinary delights.nnAs Diamond members we are both very impressed.nnThe car park is further on then left at the lights then you goto 10th floor. Enter number plate at Reception for discount don't pay at the machine. Ask Front desk team they will explain. Be careful on the corners. 10 minutes maximum wait at the lobby drive area should be changed to 20 minutes please.nnThe pool looked busy we will try tomorrow when it's a bit quieter hopefully.nnStill 5 stars especially when comparing with Marriott who have closed all their leisure clubs and cut staff.nnThank you.
