Our favourite "go to" Travelodge in Newcastle. It's very well positioned being close enough to the centre for convenience (for shopping, pubs and restaurants) but far enough away not to be overly noisy. Car park underneath with a reduced rate for residents. It's always clean and tidy with the building very well maintained. The staff are always friendly and helpful with the added bonus of northern humour - with a smile. Highly recommended, it can get very busy so booking early is advised, especially if there is an event happening in the City.

Pleasantly surprised by this Travelodge.  Never really been a huge fan of Travelodge but I was surprisingly impressed by this one.  Decent facilities and prices.  Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Thought £85 with no breakfast was expensive for the type of room. I've stayed at an hilton, not the one In Newcastle but they are similar, for an extra £30-£40 you get, hairdryers, Irons, toiletries, better breakfast use of the pool and amenities and a better room altogether.
The room was clean apart some white stains on the curtains. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were terrible, too low with just one, and your neck was in an awful position with two.
These places are what they are, a place for business users, and for people out on the town wanting somewhere to get a few hours sleep and a shower the morning after!

Good location, friendly staff.   The showers had a  fixed head rather than hose. A touch noisy from guest, but stayed Saturday night so during the week could be different.

Great stay.  Watched the world passing by from window. Close to Quays  and the millennium bridge. Short walk into town centre. Parking convenient and not too expensive and  room was clean and comfortable.
