Stayed here last wknd. We were upgraded to a king room for free. The hotel entrance is beautiful. The rooms are very clean with hairdryer iron and ironing all provided. The hotel is an ideal location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Convenient parking right outside the hotel, however arrive early to secure a space as there are only around 5 spaces. The entrance to the hotel is quite grand & appealing. Checking in was a quick easy procedure & I was given the key to my room on the second floor. The hotel's corridors are a little dated but don't allow that to put you off. The room (standard double) was quite large, with a separate large ensuite bathroom. The bed was very big and comfortable, large screen TV + a free minibar which was stocked with bottled water, chocolate bars and orange juice. Also the usual tea/coffee facilities. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was spacious with a bath and overhead shower, the shower was really good. Very powerful. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

On the surface when you walk in this looks like a nice hotel. Underneath however the hotel room was delabitated and small. I would not recommend it.

Great location next to the Newcastle Central train station. The place seems to have been recently refurbished but still maintains its clearly aged character. The staff were excellent and very attentive. The beds were very comfortable and the included WiFi excellent, I was able to use Skype and Netflix without issue. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the attached gym and sauna. Though complimentary it wasn't at all to the same standard as the hotel. There was only one running machine available as the other was out of order and the general condition of the changing rooms was poor.

Beautiful building at a great location. The entrance looks amazing. Rest of the hotel is really old and the room i got was ridiculous. My view out of the window was an ugly damaged stone wall. Room is quite spacious, especially the bathroom but it could use some freshing up. Bed feels also really old.
