Story

When you stay beside the sea, isn’t it great to have a balcony, your own private little space, where you can just kick back and relax and look out at the view? Well, that’s what sets us apart. We’re the only hotel on the seafront that can offer that from every one of the rooms on the front of our hotel, it’s true!

A great stay at a hotel doesn’t just come from a pretty view. Staying with us, whether it’s for a break at the seaside or a convenient place to stay while travelling on business, means that you will be well looked after and have everything you could possibly want.

Fresh out of the box after a root and branch refurbishment The View Hotel stands out from the rest. The contemporary design and the cosmopolitan feel make this the perfect place to stay. If you are impressed by the outside you will be knocked out by the inside. Enter through large glass doors and you are standing in the impressive lobby where you are met by the concierge who will sign you in and a bell boy will show you to your room. The rooms are cosmopolitan, spacious and all are en-suite. As you would expect there is a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and an iron. WIFI is free. Room service is also available and is pleasantly quick. The restaurant is large enough to give easy access around the tables. There is table service and the extensive menu and wine list will keep you entertained for several hours if you let it. There are also conference rooms available but I did not visit them. As I understand it prices are staying put and not going up to cover the costs of renovation. The photos on the web site are old and should be taken down, everything is new. Parking is on the street and you can buy a permit for one pound per day. Well that's it I'm off, hope you enjoy The View.

Got 5 stars cos the staff stayed up late to serve us drinks. Good staff. Sorry for making you stat up late. To be fair I went to bed way before the rest. Good breakfasts.

This hotel exceeded all expectations:very polite staff, well planned modern rooms making the most of the panoramic views (no wonder the name), spotless at all times throughout, independent heating/air conditioning, plentiful parking around the hotel, excellent choice at breakfast and lots of it, particularly good fresh coffee and all this at a very reasonable price. We are thoroughly enjoying our stay. Still one day to go, but we will be back.

Historical place, just refurbished. Comfortable and stylish, clean rooms, tasty food, very friendly staff. Stunning views from the rooftop. Ideal location.

Went to a dinner there about 100 of us. Service was really very good food was of an excellent standard served hot and very slick. Waitresses remembered the small details refilled glasses with water without being asked. The staff were friendly and professional. Defiantly going to Sunday carvery if that's there standard.
