Very decent seaside hotel, with helpful reception staff. We stayed one night in a good twin room. The only negative comment I can come up with was that the shower cubicle was very small and too low for tall people. Most likely, this was specific to our room and not the general standard for the hotel. The room was clean and had the modern facilities you would expect and a good quality bed. We did not try the breakfast, as there is a great breakfast/lunch café very nearby Favoloso.
Perfect location for the Eastbourne triathlon which started opposite. Really please with the stay, staff really friendly. Winston in particular put up patiently with all my requests to take things in and out of my bags in the luggage store - top man and customer service!Rooms: 4/5
The location is the only good thing going for this hotel, the whole building stank of paint. The bar wasn't open, they had no breakfast service and when we saw our room we were disgusted and didnt stay. Black mould above the window and no heating. We were offered a plug in heater so we left.Rooms: 1/5
Really great location on the seafront but unfortunately the hotel and the rooms are pretty dated & ours stank of fresh paint and had some fittings falling off the doors and a really small shower cubicle in the toilet. Also check in was painfully slow and the price paid was far too high for what it wasRooms: 3/5

I didn’t stay in the hotel, but went in for a coffee at the bar and cannot rate the service highly enough. The man who was staffing the front desk was incredibly helpful and polite. A real asset to the business. I’ll definitely be popping in again
Alexandra Hotel offers a convenient location, but the high price tag doesn't quite match the small room size. Additionally, a disappointing experience with a consistently cold shower on the third floor left much to be desired.Rooms: 3/5
Rooms are nice if you book seaview but do NOT order breakfast paid £20 for cold bread, rice crispies, meats and a sad croissant. Didn’t even include a coffee went downstairs to ask for a coffee and they said there is instant in the room. This isn’t a 4 star hotel.
walls were painted over human waste it was horrifying I felt sick! never would I ever recommend here. the staff were horrible discriminating my slur I have. they charged me for ordering drinks to my room which I never ordered its an absolute scam! stay away from this "refurbished" hotel. if I could give 0 stars I would I never got a refund for the horrifying room I was given. this is unacceptable where are the hotel inspectors when you need them.
Warm friendly helpful staff. Hotel well kept & ultra clean for its age. Clean airy bright room with fresh clean bedding. Definitely do with better pillows. Kindly changed our pillows but they were still hard & very flatthat was the only downside of our stay Every meal was very well presented & thoroughly enjoyed it The £1 parking every day was a huge bonus & very unexpected as we weren't informed when we booked which was a shame as we paid the full parking fee on the first day A must return very soon Very much appreciated for being so well looked after THANK YOU
