Reception was nice and very quick (we arrived late at night). Room was very spacious and plain. We had amazing sew view. Bed was big and comfortable. Hotel is quite poorly sound isolated but it didn't disturb us much. Hotel looked clean. Breakfast was very average and coffee quite undrinkable so soon after we had to go to look for Costa Coffee. Hotel lounge is very cosy. Staff was quite friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Ever since we discovered this hotel it has been our go to place in Eastbourne. The change of ownership has only helped things along. The current refurbishment is well under way. New clean carpets, no shaggy curtains, and best of all cooked breakfasts. Staff are still good and friendly. Why only 4 stars? The guest lift remains broken and even to the first floor the stairs are a pain. I know there is the service elevator...

Amazing price, brilliantly clean, right on the seafront, staff were lovely and although the breakfast was bare bones simple continental, you could upgrade to a full fry up for £4 which was great. 

Double standard had a bath, open wardrobe, desk, TV, AND an egg chair... Retro but immaculate.
