The location is excellent — very close to the tube, and many attractions are also within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and warm, and the room was well equipped and comfortable.nnFor breakfast, some guests need to cross the street to reach the breakfast area this does not apply to all rooms. While the breakfast selection was classic and consistent every day, the food and coffee were not very delicious and could be improved with more variety.nnOverall, the hotel is a good choice mainly because of its great location and cleanliness.
I visited the Ru Plaza London Victoria hotel a few months ago for a travel trade event.nnThe location is extremely convenient, being very near Victoria Station, and practical for any kind of traveler, either for leisure, business, or when going to another destination.nnThe Victoria Station area is really busy, but once inside the hotel I didn’t feel the business happening outside. Also, the compact common areas are spacious enough to relax,nnThe reception desk can easily get overrun, so there could be lines, luggage around, people waiting to check in or out and people just lounging. So a little patience will be needed.nnThis hotel is new construction, which can be a plus compared to older properties. The rooms feel spacious considering this is central London, so there is not a lot of space, but the decoration and well designed areas make it feel right for one or two guests. There is plenty of natural light with large windows with city views and well - placed lighting. I don’t think you can open the windows for a chance to get fresh air and noise.nnYou can walk across the street or use the overpass walkway to the large restaurant for breakfast, which is not too crowded if you time it right. The food choices were good and varied, nothing exceptional but very fresh and plenty of.nnI loved the architectural features, especially the staircase glass area with nice views.nnAs a travel planner, I recommend this as a great place to explore the city for a short stay, not necessarily ideal for large families or groups, but great standards for a four - star hotel from the RIU brand in London if you get a good rate compared to the properties nearby.
We've stayed on the night of 8th December 2025 and were really impressed with the location, facilities and the service received by the staff.nnHaving stayed at a number of RIU hotels over the past few years we've managed to gain a loyalty status within the RIU group; this loyalty was again rewarded during our stay in London, with a complementary room upgrade, plus a number of free gifts as well as a chocolates and a fruit selection delivered to our room upon arrival.nnThe reception team were very friendly and helpful, not only confirming a room upgrade but also identifying our request for an early check-in; we were emailed at 11:15am to confirm that our room was ready.nnOur room was very well presented and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also included as part of our booking - this was buffet style, with plenty of choice and with regular restocking of high demand items.nnOn the day of check-out we were able to leave our luggage with the reception team, allowing us to spend the rest of the day in the city prior to our train journey home.nnWe are very much fans of the RIU brand and look forward to returning to London again within the next few months.
Booked this hotel a year in advance to celebrate my little one’s 7th birthday, as her first trip to London. I let the hotel know the special occasion and was disappointed when I got to the room nothing had been done.nThe location of the hotel is brilliant, central to where we wanted to be and close to everything we needed. I can’t help thinking though for the price we paid the little touches weren’t there.nThe breakfast was amazing, one small thing which would improve the service is being seated at a table rather than picking your own. It would stop couples taking up 4 seater tables leaving only 2 seater tables for larger groups.
Great, comfortable, clean hotel in such a great location! Directly across the street from Victoria train/underground station and within easy walking distance of Buckingham palace, Westminster Abbey etc.nThe only downside is the restaurant, or the fact that outside of breakfast time, there is nowhere to eat in the hotel. There are lots of places to eat nearby so it's not a major problem, but it would be nice to have the option of a quick bite in the downstairs bar or restaurant or if you could order room service.
