Amazing location right over the bridge from big bed. Abdul at check in was really professional. Rooms were a really good size, bath with shower head and separate shower. The mattress was a little hard for my liking, which is the only reason I've marked the room down. Service across the hotel was amazing, except the spa. Went to supervise my daughter swimming and they were questioning why I wasn't booked for swimming and couldn't provide a pair of Slippers. I read mixed reviews on breakfast before we arrived. Breakfast on morning 1 wasn't great. We were seated to the left when we arrived and it was hectic, food was average. The following day we were seated to the right which I hadn't realised even existed its a much smaller dining area with its own buffet breakfast. There are actually 2 areas like this to the right both with their own buffets, much less hectic, nice atmosphere and the experience of breakfast was night and day, which is where the mixed reviews come from I imagine. Bar area was spacious and comfy and service in there excellent. The room service menu was huge, but didnt order from it. I would return for 1 night due to the location, but couldn't do any longer as the mattresses don't agree with me.
Had a most enjoyable stay for 4 nights. As part of my rewards membership I was able to get a room upgrade which was on the 5th floor, quiet and roomier. Staff were always helpful and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Hotel is in a great location close to all forms of transport including river ferries and tube or easy walk to Westminster and Southbank. That's why we choose to stay here whenever we come to London. Only slight negative was the room could have been slightly cleaner in a few spots. Overall a great place to stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Plaza. The hotel is beautifully maintained, the location is excellent, and the Executive Lounge is a fantastic addition that made our stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing.nnA special thank you to Maria in the Executive Lounge. She was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive to guests. Her warm personality, professionalism, and dedication to providing excellent service stood out from the moment we met her.
Rajani at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. She made check-in easy, helped me book breakfast, and even assisted with upgrading my room, which was a lovely surprise.nnBianca was also fantastic—she delivered my meal to my room very quickly and was genuinely warm and friendly.nnBoth made my stay even more enjoyable, and I really appreciated their excellent service.
The hotel’s location is exceptional and is undoubtedly its greatest asset. Our suite was spacious and comfortable.nnUnfortunately, the level of service was nowhere near what you would expect for the price paid. Upon arrival, the children’s bed had not been prepared, slippers and bathrobes were missing, the soap dispenser was empty from the very first shower, and there were only two towels provided for a family of four.nnHousekeeping was also disappointing. The toilets were not properly cleaned, toilet paper was not replenished, and the complimentary water bottles were not replaced. We even had to look for some of these items ourselves.nnAnother disappointment was that the view promoted during the booking process came with a significant additional charge, which felt misleading. Furthermore, instead of a proper coffee machine, only instant coffee was provided in the suite, which seems below the standard expected for a hotel of this category.nnIt’s a shame because the rooms are pleasant and the location is fantastic. However, at over £500 per night, the accumulation of these oversights and lack of attention to detail is difficult to accept. At this price point, guests should expect a much higher level of service.
