Definitely won't stay here again. Shame as staff lovely, unfortunately not enough of them to look after everything.nOur room was OK. Bedding needs updating as discussing dirty. We asked for different one ,as the one we had not for the people to use.nFood waiting time 50 min as only 1 chef. Curry was lovely, my husband burger overcooked.nDefinitely need more TLC and staff .
Nice hotel, but it feels a little dated. The rooms don't have air conditioning to regulate the room temperature, so you are given a fan for the room, which isn't the best of ideas.nThe bed felt quite firm, and the bed topper didn't do much to help.nThe All you can eat breakfast is good, but with the limited space you have to order your cooked breakfast, other premier inn I've stayed at have it as buffet style cooked breakfast.nIt is disappointing in this day and age that hotel owners are struggling to source a supply of fresh orange juice.nThe staff were good that we interacted with in the restaurant, the reception staff didn't have much to do.nAware of the payment for the car parking, which is understandable but only getting a £1 discount against the full price it's a little bit disappointing, but it is £2 cheaper than the quayside car park just down the road. But there is plenty of parking at the premier inn.
Easy to find. plenty of parking. Check in was a slow process but otherwise fine. Room was lovely. I have a heightened sense of smell which I struggle with at times but.......this room had literally no smell what so ever! this was good for me. I found nothing wrong at all with this room. I always take my own pillow so didn't use the one provided so cannot comment about the pillow, bedding was nice and soft. PG Tea & NESCAFÉ® Coffee provision but again didn't use this. Bathroom was clean and again had no smell. I have eczema but found the shower gel fine and didn't give me a flare up. The hairdryer was lame but didn't need to use this, I would advise taking your own. I don't wear much make-up but found the mirror to be satisfactory for putting make-up on. Didn't hear much noise from outside think our room was 121?. Snack machine at side of check-in desk was a little fiddly to use after couple of pints, touchscreen seemed to have a delay in registering ones touch, and finally, check-out was very simple. I didn't take any photos as I was having a phone free wkend at this time.
We stayed 3 days for Beamish museum. The location is great, lots of restaurants around. One Tesco about 5 minutes walk. Alex at the breakfast is so helpful and pleasant. Great value breakfast. Lots of parking spaces.
Me, my partner and 1 year old daughter have stayed here very recently during the uk heatwave. No air conditioning in the room only fans are provided which only circulates the heat room temperature stayed between 26-29 degrees the entire stay. Mattress is really firm which for some people might be fine but me and my partner woke up with sore backs. The rooms themselves although spacious are outdated and need a little tlc. Reception staff at check in were great was really fast and efficient however we were told that if we wanted our room serviced we had to make reception aware by 12pm on the day I requested room to be cleaned the night before and it wasn’t cleaned so slept on the same bedding for 4 nights and had to replenish tea, coffee and towels ourselves at reception.nDoesn’t detour me from using premier inns however we won’t be booking this one again.
