We were there for two nights for the Arsenal v Bournemouth match, perfect for us as we were in walking distance to the stadium and our son was delighted that he could see the stadium from the corridor window. The room we were staying in was very clean, nice white bedding, bathroom clean. Tea, coffee hot chocolate and chocolate bars in our room. Breakfast was plentiful, all you could eat, lots of choice but quality not great. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. For a trip to n Arsenal game or stadium tour the area is perfect.
We initially chose this hotel for its prime location and convenient access to public transportation. The hotel is situated directly in front of a bus stop and within walking distance of the train station, which was ideal.nnHowever, our week-long stay was significantly marred by substandard housekeeping and a troubling pest issue. Despite the availability of fresh towels upon request, basic cleaning services were neglected. Throughout our entire stay, the room was not vacuumed, trash cans remained unemptied, and bed sheets were not changed.nnThe most alarming issue was the presence of small, black, hopping insects on the bed, which I just learnt from research as fleas. These pests were extremely difficult to eliminate and left blood spots on the sheets, indicating they had been feeding on us during the night. We regret not immediately reporting this issue, as we mistakenly assumed it would be addressed during regular housekeeping.nnWhen we finally reported the issue, the staff promptly provided a new room. While this room had a malfunctioning thermostat, a staff member adjusted the main controller to ensure a comfortable temperature for sleeping. A day prior to check-out, we learned that another guest had experienced a similar insect problem in their room, which seemed to suggest a more widespread infestation. The flea bites resulted in increasingly itchy rashes on my husband's hands and feet, and they became unbearable days after we checked-out from the hotel.nnWhile the hotel's location is commendable and some staff members were helpful, the severe lack of basic housekeeping and the flea infestation are unacceptable for any accommodation. Management must urgently review and improve their housekeeping policies and pest control measures. The health risks and discomfort caused by these issues significantly outweigh the hotel's location and actions by the staff members.
Decent stay! Unfortunately, due to the location, the train track is very close by to the hotel and can be quite difficult to fall asleep. Overall had a decent stay. Would not recommend if you have kids that struggle to fall asleep in general as you cannot drown out the train noise. Staff are helpful and food is on site.
Great location, a few minutes from the tube/buses and great price. Staff are really friendly and approachable without being overbearing. When a problem did arise they sorted it out very swiftly. Very clean room, powerful shower and very comfy bed.nWould really recommend adding on the breakfast. Reasonably priced and good standard/variety of food- it'll set you up for the day. Would like to stay again in future.nWas travelling solo and staff made the place feel really safe too.
Seen lots of bad reviews for the hotel before our visit. But i want to know what hotel those people stayed at! It definitely was not this one!nRoom was spotlessly clean. Service by staff was 'top notch'. Been to better rated hotels and the service was awful!nShort walk to Finsbury Park tube station.nIf we ever visit London again, we will be using ghis hotel again.
