2nd time here. Great stay again. First time I stayed in a small room so this time went for large but didn't like it as much so next time medium! Love this hotel, the atmosphere, decor, breakfast and cocktails! The breakfast is amazing, everything you could want. The cocktails are delicious but they add a 12.5% service charge to every drink which i feel is not needed as only had 2 drinks and a shock when paying. But will definitely go back.
Great hotel just a short 10min walk from the tube. Very friendly and welcoming staff and the restaurant was top notch. Room was fine, a little small but perfectly adequate for the 2 of us. No wardrobe was a little confusing at first and minor niggles like the empty mini fridge or lack of complementary nibbles didn't ruin our stay. Bathroom was spotless and well stocked although the water pressure was sometimes a little temperamental. A great place to stay and chill out and overall very good.
Hackney WeddingnnWe were in town from Friday to Sunday for a wedding on Saturday.nnThis place is a smidge for from a tube for someone with 2 heavy cases but it’s in a very lively area with LOADS of food options within a few minutes walk.nnOur friends were getting married at Hackney town hall and most of the wedding party were staying here for the duration.nnThe place is way more stylish than I would usually go for, but the couple are far more stylish than me!nnGood bar and excellent staff. There’s a fairly adult theme to the whole place.nnI wouldn’t recommend the breakfast, considering you’re only ten minutes from the superb Hackney high street, cafes galore.
Mama Shelter hosted us for a 2 day corporate meeting for 65 attendees. The event was effortless, from the first planning conversations to on the day service. Our entire team was well looked after. The staff were all friendly, approachable and couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend this venue and hotel for anyone looking for a space in London to host a team event. The hotels decor offers personality and warmth, the catering was delicious and offered something for everyone and the service was personalised and considered. We would love to come back again. Comments from the team included it was 'one of our best events we've done' and the venue was a huge part of this. On site karaoke was a very welcome bonus too, enjoyed by all!!! Thank you Rhea and team!
Sex positive hotel and restaurant!!nStaff were really accomadating from the moment I arrived.nTiramisu was great, just be aware it contains walnuts.nGreat venue for small functions and gathering.nLooking to rent for a future event
