I stayed here in August of 2024. Still think about the experience often. Probably won’t go to London again.nnFirst, The AC turns off every 2 hours. The first time we asked the front desk if there was anything we could do, they said “no, it’s the law.” The second time we asked, they said they could put us in a list to have it turned on remotely by the front desk. That helped, but was uneasy about the misinformation.nnSecond, we contracted bed bugs. We found them late at night in our bed and brought one down to the front desk to shoe them. We then showed them multiple pictures of the bugs all over our room. Unfortunately we did not know much about bed bugs. Bites show anywhere from 5-14 days later. They quickly gave us a new room. We put all our clothes in bags and they laundered them for us. That’s where the kindness ended.nnWe did not speak to the manager due to it being the weekend. They tried to say we brought the bed bugs in because the bug was “too big” to be new and they hadn’t received any complaints. Little did they know there was a review about bed bugs from 2 weeks before our stay. Staff were not very professional and would often try to deflect. We had to wait until Monday for the Lab team to inspect the room. They found a bedbug infestation. After many frustrating conversations we got the bedbug room comped but they would not comp the second room we were moved to.nnWhile on the second leg of our trip in Amsterdam. The bed bug bites began to appear. My partner was in pain and had bites from his forehead to his hands and down to his toes. It was extremely upsetting. I made one last call to the hotel to discuss how they caused us so much pain and emotional distress. They finally comped the rest of our stay.nnWill never forget this frustrating and emotional experience.
Wonderful Location with a Few Minor DrawbacksnnWe had a great stay overall. The location is absolutely perfect—just a 5-minute walk to Angel Tube Station and about a 15-minute walk to King's Cross. It’s ideally situated for sightseeing, making it a fantastic base to explore London.nnAs expected for London, the rooms are a bit small, but they are functional and clean. However, we experienced a couple of inconveniences:nnOur initial room had a connecting door, and it got quite noisy in the early morning due to sound from the adjacent room, which affected our rest. We requested a quieter room without a connecting door, and the front desk staff was accommodating, promptly assigning us a new room.nnThe new room was much quieter, but the bed seemed smaller than the previous one. Still, it was comfortable enough, and we appreciated the peace and quiet.nnOne other issue was that the air conditioning couldn’t run continuously, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.nnOn a positive note, the breakfast was excellent—we were very impressed with the variety and quality of food offered.
Great stay. Perfectly placed to get around for me.nThe service was quick and efficient. Rooms were very clean and roomy. I didn't eat or drink there but everything else was very satisfactory. Thanks
A descent place to stay. Hotel is quite good with lobby and the basics being there. Room size wasn't bad considering the size most hotels offer in london, still didn't have much space to open a big luggage. Location is in good proximity to kings cross with a 10 minute walk and multiple resturants and bars...although check in process was slow rest the staff was quite hospitable
I recently stayed at this four-star hotel and, overall, the experience did not quite meet my expectations. While the hotel itself is pleasant, there were several issues that should not occur in a hotel of this category.nnFirst, the coffee and milk in the room were never refilled during our stay, which was rather disappointing. In addition, although the booking promised two bottles of mineral water per day, we only ever received one.nnMost inconvenient was the situation with the towels: although we were three guests in the room, we were provided with only two towels each day. We mentioned this at the reception twice, yet the problem was never properly resolved.nnThese may seem like small details, but they make a big difference to comfort and the overall impression of a four-star hotel.
