Walked through the station to get to work, the female barrier guard was rude and inconsiderate. However the lad in the passenger assistance was really nice and understanding so big up to him for being great, he is a real credit to Putney.

Putney is a great district with lots of options and activities.. nice place to walk around and have some nice food as wellnThe train station is well connected to west and east and central london with trains to waterloo, Clapham and Brentford etc.nthe station has bathrooms and accessible access
Honestly every time I go through the station it's one issue or another. Just did 3x platform change along with everyone else in sweltering heat going up and down stairs because the gormless announcements were completely contradictory. One extra star awarded for one guy on the ticket barriers who once - probably about a month ago - at least tried to help me when the barriers were malfunctioning apparently it's a known issue that they hadn't been in a rush to fix - so that star gets removed again and painfully trapped me. Good job it wasn't someone elderly. If anyone gets injured in these and decides to sue, let me know and happy to provide evidence that they know this is a problem. Now I know that I need to watch the jaws of the barriers and just not go through it they look like they are going to slam. Like hunger games . Jokes aside, overall it's pretty bad.
The station itself is good, ramps and lift access to all platforms, the service from SouthWestRail however is appalling be prepared for 3/4 min delays every time and last minute platform changes, be sympathetic to the staff as they find this just as frustrating as you.
