London Waterloo Station is one of the busiest and most important transport hubs in the UK, and it generally leaves a strong impression on both regular commuters and first-time visitors. The station is almost always busy, especially during peak hours, but it remains well organised considering the sheer volume of passengers passing through each day. Despite the crowds, movement through the concourse is usually smooth, with clear signage that makes it easy to find platforms, exits, and connections to the Underground or nearby attractions. One of the station’s biggest strengths is the constant presence of railway employees. Staff members are visible throughout the station and are usually approachable, helpful, and knowledgeable. Whether you need directions, platform information, or assistance with tickets, there always seems to be someone nearby ready to help and guide you in the right direction, which is reassuring in such a large and busy environment. Cleanliness is another positive aspect of London Waterloo Station. For a station that handles such heavy footfall every day, it is consistently clean and tidy. Platforms, walkways, and waiting areas are well maintained, and bins are regularly emptied, helping the station feel orderly rather than overwhelming.Overall, London Waterloo Station is a reliable, efficient, and well managed transport hub. While it can feel crowded at times, the helpful staff, cleanliness, and good organisation make it a generally positive experience for passengers.
Busy station that is not easy to navigate but not terribly difficult either, especially with the help of the friendly staff. As long as you position yourself in front of one of the main screens by the gates to the platforms you get informed in plenty of time to make it to your train along with the car you want. TIP: The graffiti tunnels are a great 10-minute detour if you arrive early and need to kill time.
Amazing architecture and the biggest Terminus station in London. Plenty of shops including Boots, TG Jones, M&S. Plenty of eateries on the concourse. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. The station is a five minute walk to the South Bank by the Thames. Many bus routes, a Sainsbury's and a lovely fish and chips shop callednThe Fishcotheque. Situated just under the railway bridge just outside. IMAX Cinema is also situated just outside the station. Beautiful Station. Toilets are always clean and well looked after. Fully disabled access here too.
Waterloo. Easy accessible. Many destinations. Accessible toilets. Coffee shops, fast food restaurants, boots. Quick walk and you are by the London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster. Very busy. Lots of staff. Staff very helpful. If you are with buggy, use the side door on the right, not the main door as there are stairs. Information desk is available too if you need help with your destination. Outside busses, cabs.nUse underground and you can reach Central London within minutes. If you leave by main exit use bus 76, take 5 stops and you will reach polish embassy.
