The station is huge and has several markets. There is a food court, pharmacy and other shops. One can spend easily 2-3 hours waiting for the train between eating something, drinking coffee and waching people. Toilet was also clean, and to my surprise was free of charge
Victoria is one of the most convenient areas in London. It has excellent transport connections, making it easy to reach different parts of the city by Underground, train, or bus.nnThere are plenty of shops, cafés, restaurants, and hotels nearby, so everything you need is within walking distance. Despite being a busy transport hub, the area is well organized and easy to navigate. It’s a great place to start exploring London, and we would definitely use Victoria again on our next visit.
All London railway termini are worth pausing in, as is Victoria. Comuting there today with thousands of others, there was time to admire the magnificent roof and the very British higgledy-piggledy concourse - an amalgam of two separate stations in Victorian times and the terminus for Dover and Folkestone boat trains. The vast, monolithic Battersea Power Station is just across the Thames - a monument to architect Giles Gilbert Scott
Very much London in motion. Victoria isn’t trying to charm you — it’s built to move people, fast. It’s one of the busiest stations in London, connecting multiple lines and national rail, so expect constant energy, crowds, and that slightly rushed city pace . But that’s also its power — everything is connected, efficient, and you can get almost anywhere in minutes.nnThe Victoria line itself is known for being extremely fast and frequent, sometimes trains come every couple of minutes .nnThe recent upgrades actually made a difference — more space, better flow, lifts, escalators — so it feels more modern than you’d expect from such an old system . Still, during peak hours… it’s intense. Think controlled chaos with purpose.nnOverall vibe:nFast, crowded, powerful — very “global city energy.”
Customer service Emma was very good as I wanted information about traveling with a disabled person. Emma took the time to show me the best way to get to the station when I would be with someone with disability. She could have just told me but she went out of her way to show me.nWell done Emma .
