This station has a number of platforms running train routes far and wide.nPlatforms are accessible via the upper or lower concourse. Both have a selection of places to buy food or drink to consume on your journey or whilst waiting. Platforms have designated waiting areas with ample seating. Or you can sit along the upper concourse.nThere are bright, wall mounted yellow information boards with train destinations and the relevant platform listed alongside. So no reason to get lost as it is big and can get very busy.nPlatforms also have a live departure board with the trains and times on as well as information boards on the platform stairway.nEach platform has a designated lift for easy access for wheelchairs/prams/those with luggage.nThe station also has toilets.nVery well organised and never encountered any issues when travelling from here. Staff are also readily available to help with any queries.
will forever love this station.nnIt's nothing flashy, but it has what it needs. Platforms have different cafes and the bridge always has a mix of food stalls. Albeit expensive. Always opt for the bridge between platforms, not the chaotically busy tunnel.
I had a disappointing experience at Exit 1 of Clapham Junction Station around 6 PM today. My ticket would not scan, so I asked a staff member for help, but he was unhelpful and dismissive. His attitude made me feel uncomfortable, as if I had done something wrong despite having a valid ticket. I hope the station can improve customer service.
This is a large, very busy, very good station. There are good wheelchair accessible entrances on both Grant Road north of the trainlines and St John's Hill south of the trainlines all of which are served by bus services. However, I would recommend wheelchair users enter via the Brighton Yard entrance thst allows acess to the lifts to most platforms from the overbridge.nnThere's a great variety of shops and food outlets at the entrances, on the overbridge and on some of the platforms. The quality of toilets is indifferent.nnA facelift would improve many aspects that now look dated and tired. Escalators to the platforms from the pedestrian tunnel and also to the overbridge would vastly improve the customer experience.
Clapham junction is a great train station that connects trains that go all around London. Beautiful, Modern and tidy
