The good:nnThe staff were just lovely and very helpful.nThe breakfast was superb - so much choice and all well cooked and well presented.nThe location is pretty good, easy to get about using public transport.nIt was quiet at night.nThe cleaning crew were clearly doing their best with what they had to work with.nnThe bad:nMy goodness this hotel needs refurbishment!! The first room I was put into was utterly atrocious. Tiny, cramped, an unnecessary amount of horrid dated and broken furniture, panels falling off the ceiling, ripped bed linen and a mattress that you could feel the wooden frame through.nnI don't think I've ever asked to move rooms in a hotel before but I couldn't believe they would put guests in something looking like that when they claim to be a 4 star hotel. I've stayed in better hostels! They did move me to another room when I complained which was better, but still extremely dated.nnHilton do better!! I used to think Hilton was a good brand of hotel... The 3 stars is because the staff and the food was very good, if it was based on the room I would have given a 1. I don't think I'll be back again.
Was underwhelmed by this one.nStaff all friendly and helpful, foyer and bar were very well presented but the bedrooms were bland and basic.nNo sockets available, no USB ports, no charging points/plugs by the bed. Had to unplug the lamp on the desk to charge my phone the other side of the room. Was lovely and clean tho.nLocation was fantastic for what we needed. Smoking area on the roadside, surely there must be a small space “out the back” rather than have customers on the busy roadside?
The staff at breakfast are all absolutely excellent! Really impressed! The breakfast itself is also excellent!nThe rooms are always very clean, but somewhat old-fashioned for a 4 star hotel. The prices are very good for London, though. It's my preferred hotel to stay for a few day business trips.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding a security breach that occurred during my 3-day, 2-night stay at Hilton London Kensington in 2024/4/19-21. Specifically, on the second morning of my stay, an unknown man entered our room without permission, causing significant distress and psychological harm.nnThe individual claimed to have booked room identical to ours, and used a key card to enter our room while we were asleep at 7:45 a.m. This incident was a severe violation of our privacy and left us feeling extremely unsettled and vulnerable.nnFurthermore, the response from the hotel staff regarding this incident was highly inadequate. Despite being informed of the security breach, the staff failed to take immediate action and handle the situation appropriately. Their rude, indifferent attitude and lack of professionalism further exacerbated our unease and distress.nnThis event has had a profound impact on our trip. We had expected to have a pleasant and secure vacation at your hotel, but instead, we encountered this invasion of privacy and security breach. We are deeply disappointed and angered by this experience.nnI strongly urge the hotel to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and take all necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Additionally, the hotel should address the existing security vulnerabilities and provide appropriate compensation to mitigate the inconvenience and psychological harm we have endured.nnAs a reputable hotel brand, it is expected that guest safety and privacy are prioritized, and high-quality service and protection are provided. However, based on our experience, Hilton London Kensington has severely fallen short in this regard.
I used to stay at different Hilton Hotels around the world and this one was the worst in terms of room quality. Room was dated and dirty. Bed was so uncomfortable to sleep. Receptionists and concierges were good and helpful people. I especially want to thanks a curly hair lady at the check-in. She deserves to work at better hotels. However, room cleaner was quite rude. Especially, cleaner who works on the sixth floor. She knocked my door and I opened my door and I told her to clean my bathroom after 12 pm because I am not available now but she refused and started to make strange face expressions. I told her to come within 1 hour. I don't understand why housekeepers are so rude to their customers. I pay money to stay at this hotel but I did not get any respect. If I was not busy I could let you clean my bathroom. There is a reason why I asked her to come back later, right? Anyway, I wasn't happy about this treatment. Also, one of my bathroom towel and glass cup was dirty. They were not clean. I am not sure how can they do this. Hilton Hotels in London are really poorly organised in general. They damage the overall reputation of Hilton. London is going backwards in every way. In my opinion, it is not a worth place to visit anymore. Africa is much better than here. You get much better treatment in Hilton Hotels in Africa, Middle East and Asia than Europe.
