We stayed there two summers ago and found the hotel and staff to be faultless. We had a nice room, which overlooked the back inland, which didn't really bother us as we enjoyed being in the bar/lounge area, or sitting outside in the sun, both overlooking the 'promenade' which is just across the road, and thus didn't spend much time in the room other than to sleep, shower and dress. We prefer bed & breakfast, so that we are not bound by time constraints and didn't use the restaurant in the evening, using instead the flexibility of the bar meal facility, which was extremely convenient. The food was excellent, both breakfast and bar meals. Cleanliness and tidiness in the hotel is exemplary and the staff were outstanding. The hotel is well situated, being roughly half way along the prom. with easy, flat walking in both directions with Sovereign Harbour to the East and the South Downs to the west, probably a couple of miles each way from the hotel, and half a mile-ish to the pier. Car parking is well catered for. Wanting to have a room with a seaview this year I booked early, but a couple of weeks before we were due to travel my wife and I consecutively contracted covid and, due to slow recovery, had to cancel the week before we were due to arrive. We were very disppointed, but at least the cancellation process was excellent, no quibble, and the deposit was returned to our account the same day. We are hoping to try again after the school holidays. We thoroughly recommend this hotel on the basis of our experience.
My husband and myself returned yesterday from a 5 day break at the Langham. We were part of a large party. It is a very pleasant hotel with very good service from friendly and obliging staff. Our room on the 3rd floor, 319, was cheery and extremely clean. We did, however find the room very small, with hardly any space for our 2 suitcases. We requested a quiet room and it was. The only fault with our stay at the Langham was the food could have been hotter at breakfast and dinner, and the portions were a bit on the frugal side. We thought perhaps the small portions were because they measure out every item when catering for coach parties.
This is a wonderful hotel. Great location, near enough to the centre for convenience but nice and quiet also. The staff are extremely friendly and the service levels are first class. I would recommend this hotel 1000%Rooms: 5/5
Disappointing. We usually stay at the Grand Eastbourne, decided to try the Langham for a change. I think the room prices they charge at the Langham are very cheeky compared to the 5 star Grand. Langham rooms & reception areas are dated, and tired. Despite advertising a cocktail bar, they do not serve cocktails. WiFi is poor. Most of the staff have a ‘doing you a favour’ attitude. My advice - this hotel is overpriced with poor service, spend a few pounds more and stay at the Grand!
The location of this 4-star hotel near Eastbourne Pier is a major plus. Most hotels on the seafront are showing their age, but the Langham Hotel seems to be much better maintained. The rooms are tidy, the bathroom is squeaky clean, and the staff are super professional and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, making for a pleasant start to the day. However, there was one annoying inconvenience: we heard low-decibel noises throughout the evening. Not sure if it was coming from outside the building or from other guests, but it was quite distracting. Other than that, we had a great stay. Nearby activities: People visiting Seven sisters/Beachy Head from Eastbourne, there is a tour bus that starts at eastbourne pier with a 10 minute walk from this hotel which charges 11GBP per Adult for an entire day.
Very small shower area but compact and well proportioned. The Bedroom was spacious and very comfortable with an excellent view. We were given excellent room service and care by charming and helpful staff. Thank you. Rooms: Comfortable and well maintain rooms and service. A great pleasure to attend and will certainly visit again and recommend to oithers
A wonderful hotel, that's why we come here three times a year, since we stumbled across this hotel three years ago. We would never go anywhere else, no other hotel we have ever stayed in excels like The Langham. Its the attention to detail. Its home from home. We will be coming for many more years. If you want the perfect hotel experience, and feel relaxed and looked after then this is the place for you. From the second you enter to the minute you leave. Your treated like royalty. The staff are so welcoming, the rooms are spotless and spacious. Cosy and comfortable. Beautifully decorated. The views are just stunning. The food is delicious. The cocktail bar is great. The freshly cooked breakfasts, brought to your table with so much choice are out of this world. Nothing is too much trouble. Great value for money. Mr Kirkby always has time for a chat if he sees us around the hotel. There's no where else that has ever made us feel so welcome. We have just left this February and can't wait till we are back again in May. Thank you everyone at The Langham. See you again soon. Bill and Dawn Ledger
Lovely hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Eastbourne.Rooms: 5/5
They advertised at the Eastbourne Beer Festival, "come finish the party at our hotel bar 10pm-midnight. Bring your ticket and get 10% off drinks.".. we got there, rude member of staff won't even let us In, knows nothing about it and fobs us off. Rude staff, misleading advertising to promote the hotel name to thousands of people, with no intention to follow it up. Shame on you.
Lovely hotel staff really good location amazing dont know about rooms never stay just had drinksService: 5/5
