Good station, good service
I work late and am usually running for a train. What I find really unhelpful is when they close the stairwell entry on Villiers St. Thursday night - running for the 00.30 to Lewisham and I have to run to the front of the terminal.nMissed the train by 10 seconds and had to wait half an hour for the last one. Thanks staff - hope it helped you get home earlier!!!nStill can’t leave until the 00.50 leaves can you?
A moderate size Central London terminus. Handy for visits to the West End. Since the pandemic the fast food restaurant and bar have remained closed. Both M&S and Boots have branches offering food and cold drinks. Upper Crust sells hot drinks, but are expensive. A water fountain is available. Standard toilets are subterranean and the cleanliness is variable. An accessible cubicle is located in the middle exit to the Strand
This is a good station. Only southeastern run train services here but there are quite a lot of destinations to and from here. There are also not too many shops as well as seating. But the station is one of the smallest mainline stations in London. This station is also very good for Trafalgar Square.
