Victoria Coach Station

Where dreams go to die..It's the low end of travel that is cheap but far from cheerful and is where arrivals and departures start.It's frankly third world with toilets that charge & food( if you can call it that) is limited & expensive.The place is barely clean and queues form to get on Megabus & National Express services that see people scrambling for seats and is pretty much the same as American Greyhound Bus Stations with begging and foreigners trying to sell used tickets..It's a place where I have used as a last resort when traveling by train was not available.It's cold and uninviting place that has pigeons flying constantly and the seating options are limited..

Originally designed for a much smaller volume of people and traffic than the amount passing through today. The staff do an impressive job, and are usually polite and professional - even when some of the passengers aren't. Visiting the toilet facilities will set you back 20p, but they are reasonably clean and well maintained, but the coffee and snack bars are quite expensive considering most people travel by coach to save money!

Victoria coach Station, is extremely dirty and disgusting! For a start there should be clear signs on each blue post beneath gate number stating” PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE PIGEONS”. I was waiting for my coach yesterday, when a young family were encouraging pigeons in with food. Also pigeons were flying around in there. This must be stopped. Pigeons carry disease! Also toilets, we were being charged 30 pence yesterday to use the facilities, it was 20 pence a few weeks ago, what’s going on? Awful place.

i had a train that was departing at 9.00am but i reached the station around 9.02. i knew i was late but i had some hope maybe the coach is still there. i ran to a woman in an orange vis jacket with national express on it. I asked if the coach has departed and if so what can i do. She looked at me and said i don't know go to the people with the green jacket. Stood there for about 5 minutes before i found a man with the green jacket. He told me the exact same thing and directed me to go back to the woman. It was back and forth for about 30 minutes with no one helping. I saw a place the said information center, i went there for help and they also directed me to the tickets area. Finally i got there, waited just for them to tell me i have to get a new ticket and that was around 11. I sadly came back home because i was going for an interview and knew i wouldnt make it anywhere close to the time. Never again national express, bad and useless staff, dirty and cold station.

You want a station that’s always freezing cold, has numerous cancellations and makes you pay for the privalige of taking a piss, this better be your first stop. Not like you have much other choice.
