I lost my travel card at Brixton Underground Station for just 2 minutes, and kind person handed it to Underground staff. When I went with my ID, it had already been cancelled without giving me any chance to reclaim it.I then spent over an hour on the phone being passed around, horrible customer service, and they still refused to refound the £29 balance. EXPENSIVE , INEFFICIENT AND UNFAIR SERVICE.
My daughter used to live right next to Brixton Tube Station on Atlantic Road. It made her commute to work very convienant and a great part of London to live in.
It's been oer 40 years since Iwas last in Brixton, this time with my big dog, so had to double-check before I travelled that the station had a lift...which is does, albeit tiny! Fortunately I was travelling off-peak, so got straight in! It's amazing how the area between thestation and the market hasn't changed in 40 years! That familiar hussle and bustle of a truly under-rated area of London. Next time I am going to get there around lunchtime so I can take advantage of some of that amazing Carribbean food in and around the market.
The worst station in London! The staff are so rude and always looking miserable, especially the short black guy!nVery dirty and filthy station!
Brixton tube station is the southern terminus of the Victoria line. The next station is Stockwell. Very crowded during rush hours, 8am to 9am and 5pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
