By far the BEST & most magical afternoon tea I have ever been to. I spent my birthday here at the festive afternoon tea, I am still talking about how amazing it was!! from the details to the waiters and waitresses, staff were impeccable! The most welcoming and kindest staff. I have quite a few allergies and they made sure everything was explained thoroughly so I could enjoy everything! They even brought out a little birthday cake, I couldn't thank the staff enough!! 10/10 service, we felt so welcomed!! We previously stayed at The Plaza Hotel in NYC which was also magical, but the staff at the Ritz London are NEXT level, no comparison!! I have booked here again to treat my friend as I was so blown away by this all. Thank you so much again Food & drinks: Festive Afternoon tea
Dining at The Ritz Restaurant is an unforgettable experience of culinary excellence and refined elegance. The opulent setting, with its soaring ceilings and intricate details, creates a regal ambiance. The menu is exquisitely curated, offering dishes that are as visually stunning as they are flavorful. Every bite feels like a masterpiece, paired perfectly with fine wines and impeccable service. The live music adds a magical touch, making it more than a meal—it’s a celebration of luxury dining. Truly outstanding!
We booked afternoon tea months in advance to celebrate a special birthday on a trip to London. This was our last activity and was the icing on top of the cake. The service from the front door was excellent the staff were so welcoming and helpful. There’s a cloak room opposite the women’s powder room to check all coats- they aren’t allowed in the palm court. Then we were seated at our table and looked at the choice of teas and the menu of the days sandwiches. The sandwiches and cakes arrived and looked beautiful and tasted better. We had a person in our party who doesn’t like condiments etc and I had emailed ahead with this information and they checked to ensure she would be happy with her sandwiches- which she was. They also asked if we would like any more and brought them over to us the cakes were excellent too. Small, rich and decadent. We asked for a box to take them home which was great as we couldn’t eat them all. Thank you for a wonderful experience for a special birthday. Would love to come back in the future.
Afternoon Tea at The Ritz was the most glamorous experience I've ever had! The Food was delicious and unique. The tea came in a personal pot, and our server took care of everything we needed. He was just as professional as he was courteous. There was a trio of a violinist, pianist and cellist playing beautiful music. I would highly recommend The Ritz tea experience.
Easy walking distance to high street, boutiques, and Buckingham Palace, which is a must! We stayed the night, the rooms were exquisite, the decor beautiful, with everything provided for the perfect overnight stay. Breakfast served in the Ritz restaurant was a fabulous experience. The service was very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend
We went for afternoon tea to celebrate my mums 90th birthday. The hotel had just been decorated for Christmas and as soon as you went through the door it was a WOW experience. The Christmas afternoon tea was exceptional made even more special with the singers singing carols around the piano. The staff were very attentive from the front door, during the afternoon tea till the moment we left the hotel. You managed to put a smile on my mums face, something that has been missing since my dad died. Thank you so much for an experience that gave my mum such happy memories something she will talk about for the rest of her days Walkability: Mum has walking issues and climbing stairs. She was able to manage the front entrance with the patient and helpful staff
Had a brilliant three night stay as a birthday treat. Took in all the guest options. The room was large, comfortable and had all the amenities one could ask for. Trips to the Rivoli Bar, Afternoon tea and amazing dinners in the restaurant. I’d definitely go back, the staff make this place and are incredible. Nothing is too much trouble. My only concern was something outside their control. I had a sixth floor room, but could still hear idiots at night and early morning blowing their car horns. At 2 am it’s not funny. Is there really that much traffic all night long. Can’t wait to see what the refurbishments are going to be like. Hope to return when they are done.
Afternoon tea. I was worried because it was already fully booked even two months in advance, but it is better to check the website frequently without giving up because there are a lot of cancellations as the day gets closer. Although I was a traveller whose English was not that good, I was satisfied with the polite and friendly service I received. It was also nice to be greeted in Japanese. I had a good cultural experience, being exposed to beautiful silver cutlery, luxurious furnishings and traditional tea cakes. It was also nice that takeaway bags were provided, which is unusual for a high-end restaurant, and as it was the last booking slot from 19:30, it was empty by the time we left and the staff were happy to talk to us and take photos. I'd love to go again.
We arrived later than we had planned and hence did not experience as much of the Ritz as we had originally hoped. What we did experience was, as expected, exceptional. The staff from the gentlemen at the door to the reception staff and those who served breakfast were all extremely polite, very well presented and all gave the impression that no request would be too difficult for them. Our room was very nice with everything presented to a high standard and of good quality. It is all very old world/of an era which was expected but there are certain elements where I'd prefer something a bit more modern ... a duvet rather than blankets and maybe a walk in shower rather than having to step over the side of the bath. Saying that, I am not complaining. The breakfast menu on first inspection looks a little disappointing particularly if, like my wife, you are vegetarian. However, one should not forget you are in the Ritz and therefore nothing is too difficult ... would madam like some asparagus, some avocado,  some baked beans etc? The list was endless and breakfast turned out to be superb. The lactose free pastries prepared for my wife were also a very nice touch. A shame we did not have longer here.
Having breakfast at the Ritz Carlton was one of the best experiences ever. The hotel is stunning, historical, and meticulously curated in every detail. The staff at their Michelin-starred restaurant was the highlight of our meal—so professional, attentive, yet friendly, and they made us feel right at home. The food was also incredible, with the Danish pastries with fresh figs being a standout. I’ll definitely be coming back!
