Love this phenomenal Marriott property! Concierge services provided by Nelson and staff ensured a 5-star stay in every aspect from recommendations for safe tourism to personalized assistance when needed. The location works well for beautiful walking experiences to a wide array of hot spots and activities. Highly recommended!Rooms: 5/5
Location is The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant has excellent service and a good variety of dishes to choose from. This hotel also has executive lounge. I gave it a 4 because I did not like staff to come knock my door and ask me what time I am checking out when it was 11:55am. I felt rushed out or kicked out!’
Extremely disappointed. American Express Platinum has this as part of their “Collection Hotels”. Our experience has been less than stellar. Staff is rude and unengaging. Service poor. For instance, upon arrival no bellman to help us with luggage, 5 bags we had to unload and drag up steps ourselves. Room not ready as promised.. waited 4 hours. Rooms small and clean. Fellow who took us to room was unaware of the basics. For instance how and where thermostat was located or where safe was located. I asked to speak with manager. Gave my name and request at front desk. Have never heard a word.. and I’m still at hotel. I think there are many choices in London for lodging, while this location is excellent, the service is sub par. I would consider somewhere else. Rooms: Small
Loved this hotel so much! From the incredible breakfast spread included each morning and the coziness of the lobby where everyone who works there is so warm, I would totally come back to stay. Shoutout to James who served our breakfast and was the sweetest. The room is very nice, too, and the location is amazing - walkable to Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, everywhere. 5 stars!!!
Most of the stars are for the location. So close to everything. The staff were all really nice. The room was really nice but expected something with a nice view for $700/night. We dropped our bag off in morning and were told that we would get a call or a notification through the Marriott Bonvoy app when our room was ready. We got neither. We walked around London in 90 degree weather. When we came back, we were told that the room had been ready. They couldn't quite explain why I wasn't notified. We had lounge access and the lounge was quite underwhelming. Was small and dark. Breakfast in the morning was good. It would have been far better if the lounge was at the top of the hotel with some daylight. Bed were super comfortable and everyone working there was nice.
Check-in was very slow with only two desks and no obvious queue - small for the size of this hotel. The lift is slow - it's quicker to walk. Room was clean but on the first floor it felt dingy with little sunlight and a view of a dark basement, air con units and pigeons. The TV does not support Bluetooth or Chromecast first London hotel I've stayed in for a while without that. Door staff were friendly. The biggest insult was check-out they try to clobber you with a 10% service charge on top of the bill - even thought this was not communicated or listed in the advertised prices - they say that this is for the staff. This is infuriating and requires an embarrassing conversation with the clerk. On pushing they advise that it is discretionary but still it really is a bait-and-switch and leaves an unpleasant feeling as you leave this hotel. Just charge a fair and clear price and pay your staff. For this reason alone I will not return.
The Sheraton Grand is in an excellent location. The staff are very professional. Our room was spacious, well presented and clean. We chose the B&B option, the breakfast is very good but the breakfast room can be quite busy as you'd expect on a Saturday morning. The lifts are a little annoying as they are scattered around the reception area and it is never clear which one will be the next to arrive. Our room looked over the alleyway between buildings and therefore the only view was of the AC ducting of the building opposite. I'm fairly sure I could hear mechanical noises coming from this alley for most of the night. The hotel adds a 5% service charge to the bill which appears to be coming more common.  I'm not a fan but didn't argue this. We'd definitely stay here again but look to get a room in a different location.
The Sheraton Grand Park Lane Hotel in London was absolutely amazing! Located in one of the most luxurious districts of the city, it’s just a short walk from Hyde Park, which makes it a perfect spot for anyone who loves exploring the city on foot. The hotel boasts some truly fantastic restaurants, with food that’s simply delicious. The lobby is one of the best features—it’s grand and spacious, especially when compared to other hotels in Europe. It creates a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you step inside. One thing I noticed during my stay, particularly during peak seasons, is that the hotel is very popular among Khaleejis, including myself, which made it feel even more comfortable and familiar. I felt super safe throughout my stay, which is really important when traveling. I did have an incident where someone tried to rob me, but the hotel management was incredibly helpful. They not only calmed me down but also took steps to ensure everything was safe moving forward. Overall, I highly recommend the Sheraton Grand Park Lane Hotel for anyone visiting London. It offers an unparalleled experience in terms of location, safety, and comfort. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit!
I had a good stay, but unfortunately, a lot of my shopping was stolen. At first, I thought I had just misplaced it, but it kept happening for several days. I made sure to remember where to place it. I spoke to the staff about the issue, and they said they would investigate. However, despite exchanging multiple emails over the weeks, I felt like nothing was being done. Eventually, I gave up, as it became clear that they were not going to resolve the situation! But they can’t say so.
I stayed here for one night with my fiance and wouldn't stay again. For reference, I have titanium elite status with Marriott 75+ nights a year. I submitted for an upgrade which was approved and I arrived just after 3pm. Check in was supposed to be at 3 and I did mobile checkin to confirm we would be there at 3pm. When we arrived, they said that another elite member was in the suite and requested 4pm checkout so the room was not ready- nor would it be ready until at least 5 after cleaning. Now, with my status I've requested plenty of early checkins and late checkouts and I'm well aware that these requests can be denied if there is another guest checking in. I have no idea why they would approve such a late checkout for guests knowing they have others coming in at 3pm. In all my years staying with Marriott I don't think I've ever been told that I could check into a room at 5pm. When I pushed back they gave us a 'temporary room' to drop our things until ours was ready. Since we were only staying for one night and it was our last night in London we had previously stayed at the Westin London City we were eager to relax and take advantage of our suite. We were also leaving for the airport at 6am the next morning. We came back around 6pm at the suite was ready, so we essentially had 4 hours in the suite before needing to get to bed early. The TV's are not smart TV's which seems crazy for a 5 star hotel in 2024, but okay. We had to have a technician come in and fix the TV before using since there was an HDMI cord issue. We ordered room service- my fiance got the club sandwich thinking it was a safe bet, but for 20 pounds, it was just sad. A few pro's of the hotel- if you have status and can enjoy the lounge, the offerings were very good and it seemed they had a good variety of food and snacks throughout the day. They had a lot of drink options in the evening and good coffee machines. Location is in a very busy area- this could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for but it was easy for us to get everywhere, also only took about 35 mins to get to the airport at 6am. The bed was very comfortable and the suite was spacious, but dated. Very nice bathroom which had a bathtub and shower. Overall, just not the best experience. I do have high expectations but I also have amazing experience at many Marriott locations. Our stay at Westin London City was incredible, so if you're between properties and are ok with being a bit further out of the busiest parts of the city, I'd stay there instead.
