18 years ago I vowed never to stay at a travelodge again after a very poor experience. This time I highjacked my husband's business trip for a trip to London. This travelodge has changed my mind! It was very clean. The staff were incredible, polite, helpful, welcoming and professional. The parking was free, there was a tube station very close for easy access to inner London and the crown Court was only a few minutes walk away. The surrounding area was very pleasant and relatively quiet. Will definitely use again
Basic rooms, and in a summer stay, the rooms on the upper level are stiflingly hot, it's actually way too warm. Windows do not open more than 3 inches to prevent people jumping, so there's no way to get air in the room. With 4 bodies in the small room, it was a sweatbox and rather unpleasant.nnThe room was relatively clean, but the bedding had green spots on it bleach I'm assuming... And hope and the bathroom floor was pretty grim in the corners.nnShower gel and soap were provided, but both are watered down to make them last longer, which meant it went everywhere when kids used them.nnClose to the central line, so easy to get into London center. Parking is available from day of arrival, even before check-in and up to midnight on day of departure, which was great.nnStaff were friendly too and the room had tea/coffee and a mug for each person 4, which was nice.nnShower was crap, with inconsistent temperature.
Stayed for one night after going to a gig at the O2 arena. The room was basic but clean and comfortable so no complaints. The staff were friendly and professional. Parking was free for customers which was good. The location is great, literally a five minute walk to snaresbrook train station and only a couple of stops from Stratford and then a change at Stratford for the O2 which was only another couple of stops along.nMy one negative was the breakfast box, it wasn't fantastic. It contained a small bottle of water, flap jack, pan au chocolat and corn flakes with some warm milk. Next time I would find a local cafe for breakfast instead.nnOverall it was a good stay and would consider staying here in the future.
It's in an excellent location, not far from Snaresbrook Underground Station and Wanstead town.nnThe staff were very friendly.nnThe room was quite spacious and clean.nnThe only negative was the occasional gust of sewage smell coming out of presumably the shower drain - so always had to shut the toilet door..nnApparently the sewage smell issue had been raised by older reviews, so Travelodge don't seen to have sorted this out - which is a shame as there's not much to fault this place otherwise.
Located in a green, 'villagey' part of north-east London. Clean no-frills accommodation near a tube station.
