Attended for a work event. I was welcomed as soon I entered. The office room was an excellent size with a large balcony overlooking Stratford and with the views of the o2. Nice neutral decor, clean, air conditioned, frequently stocked with drinks and snacks. Toilets were very clean and I noticed they were cleaned frequently throughout the day. Lunch was very nice, with a good selection of hot food and dessert. Requested extra ice cream from a random staff member and it was delivered! Lovely hotel. I’d love to visit on a personal trip and explore the rest it has to offer.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Stratford, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! The suite was absolutely amazing – spacious, beautifully designed, and with every amenity you could possibly need.nnThe service was top-notch, with every staff member going above and beyond to ensure I had a perfect experience. A special mention goes to Monica, who was exceptionally kind and attentive throughout my stay. Her warm hospitality really made me feel welcome and taken care of.nI highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Stratford for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay!
The hotel itself looks nice and pretty but this 1 star is to reflect the staff. Zero customer service. So unprofessional and so incompetent. We were first greeted by concierge at the ground floor, who refused to take our bags until we confirmed that early check in was not possible, almost 20 minutes of wasted time. More importantly, the fire alarms rang multiple times two days in a roll at 3am, each staff member had a different story to tell. Our group which took up 3 rooms were receiving random phone calls past midnight, to the point we had to unplug our phones. One of our rooms flooded at 2:30AM and had to wait 1.5 hours to get a new room and all they offered was free late checkout or breakfast after multiple negotiation. For six hours there was no air conditioning, no elevator, and no water. Had to climb 20 flight of stairs every time you need to talk to the staff. They won’t even pick up phone. Every time we were in the lobby we would notice all the calls went unanswered. Anyway, their solution was to shower at the gym because the engineer was not there yet. They did nothing to address the issue. All they said was we will let the manager know. The manager never contacted us during our stay. Nothing at all. Be aware if you choose to stay here.
Stayed on a Saturday night attending the Foo Fighters concert. Location is perfect, beds comfortable and bathroom facilities good and hotel clean. Entrance staff and reception staff welcoming. Understaffed dining room with 6 tables occupied inside and some outside and a fairly full bar area - only 2 members of staff in dining area and they appeared tired and service was slow. Buffet breakfast was struggling with the high demand, running out of food items, crockery and cutlery. The cost of the room extremely pricey due to the event. There are bones for a great hotel but it seems there are no contingencies for staffing or management to delight all guests when there are huge events. Considering the service, cost and value received, this 4 star hotel catering for higher end market is not delivering on the expected standards hence my overall score.
This has to be the most poorly managed hotel I've ever been to, but the staff especially Hayat and Suda made it so we didn't need to leave for another hotel. We had to change rooms twice during our 3 night stay, which is unacceptable and I find it hard to believe Hyatt is willing to attach their brand to this property.nnWhen we arrived, we were told the room we booked in the Hyatt Regency with 1 king bed was not available and given the choice between either 2 twin beds or a room in the Hyatt House. This was pitched as an upgrade since the Hyatt House had a kitchenette, but we did not need/book that. I can't fault the employees for this as it is management that should be ensuring that the scheduling system gives customers the rooms they actually book. Hayat handled our change over to the room we actually booked the following day.nnThen late on the 2nd night, the wifi almost completely stopped working, dropping from 19mbps to 0.2mbps making it suddenly impossible to take our work calls as there was also no cell service. Suda, the night manager, did everything she could to help us by logging us into the slightly faster employee wifi. This Wifi was much stronger on lower floors 66mbps on the 4th floor, so she quickly moved us down to a room on that floor.nnI'm grateful that they had Hayat and Suda on staff to fix these issues for us, but I cannot in good conscience recommend that anyone stay at a hotel with these scheduling and maintenance issues. We overheard numerous other guests with valid issues, so I believe we were not an exception. Some of the other bad reviews note that these hotels used to be a Holiday Inn and Staybridge Inn. They should have stayed that way and I'm surprised that Hyatt would put their brand on these. If you're looking for the typical Regency experience, I would look at the Hyatt Regency in Blackfriars and avoid this one.
