Well appointed hotel amenities and rooms, and extremely helpful and accommodating concierge. However, the bar and dining staff are strict with their own rules and opinions on service and quality, something not to be expected at this level. I highly recommend making all arrangements through the concierge ahead of time if possible, including in hotel dining and bar. Otherwise The Stafford is a comfortable respite from a busy day.
I have nothing but great things to say about The Stafford. This was my second time staying here and it was wonderful service on both occasions. They even gave us a complimentary room upgrade to a suite. The bathroom was large with heated floors. The suite was specious and had a lot of character. The staff were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed and more. I would highly recommend staying at this establishment! Especially if you would like to be close to the Parks and Buckingham Palace. There is also nearby public transportation at Green Park, which was very convenient. Of note, other things we enjoyed here: -Daily breakfast -American Bar -The room service was great, many selections were available to us We cannot thank you enough for your hospitality! Safety: We felt incredibly safe here!
We were recommended to stay at this hotel by an English friend and we couldn’t have been happier! The location was walk to just about anywhere we wanted to go and the service was exemplary. They bent over backwards for us and made us feel so welcome every time we came back from our day out. A truly English experience. I would go back in a heartbeat!!
Top class hotel just off St. James Street at the back of the Ritz. Handy for shopping, Buckingham Palace and Green Park. Very classy.
I stayed at the Stafford for a couple of nights expecting a luxury experience since this is a 5 star hotel. What I received was a room barely big enough for 2 people with a broken shower barely worth half of the money we paid for. We stayed in their classic queen room, and the pictures are make this room appear significantly bigger. I even asked the front desk and they confirmed that not all of their classic queen rooms are the same size, so it seems as if we simply received their smallest room. You couldn’t move around our room without bumping into the luggage. If it was just that, then this review would be 3 stars; however, the shower was also broken and missing the button that allows the water to turn hot. After our first day, I brought this up in the morning to the staff , who said they would contact maintenance, but when I went to take a shower the next day it was still missing then button. Overall, this was by far the worst place we stayed on our 2 week trip but it was also the most expensive. The only thing that felt remotely worth the price tag was the politeness of the staff and the location. If you’re thinking of staying here, don’t. Just book another hotel that’s hopefully worth the money or an airbnb where you will get hot water and way more space.
Hands down worst Martini ive had in Central London. Server, tho pleasant, didn't listen at all to what I wanted and results to match. Overpriced but pleasant atmosphere. I wouldn't againService: 5/5
I lost my phone just outside the hotel. Staff member Ona was kind enough to pick it up and reply to my “missing phone” message and delivered it to me at the hotel bar. Amazing woman that really saved my day!Service: 5/5
Went here for a birthday and the service was impeccable. Food was hot and tasty. Cocktails reasonably priced. Would return again. Great atmosphere and plenty of memorabilia inside to look.Service: 5/5
Went to the Stafford hotel for afternoon tea. Staff were so lovely and place was really small and intimate We have a few dietaries including gluten free and vegetarian. Would highly recommend for anyone with gluten free requirements. In my opinion the gluten free cake selection was even better than the non gluten free. Remember to specify tap water if you prefer otherwise they assume bottled which we were stung with paying £6.50 for one bottle
Great hotel, in great location, could not recommend more. Very comfortable, excellent service at every level. Welcoming. Breakfast included best French toast ever. Small but very functional gym. Superb bar, cosy and high quality cocktails, especially old fashioned and negronis.Rooms: 5/5
