We stayed for 6 Nights at the Sofitel St. James. Upon arrival, the staff was very attentive and made our trip an extra special experience. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. The bathroom luxurious. The hotel is centrally located and close to tourist attractions and public transportation. The breakfast choices were plentiful, perfectly prepared and delicious. We would gladly return to this property in the future.
We were looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Every member of staff was delightful and Jasmine in reception made us feel so welcome and special. We enjoyed afternoon tea in the Rose lounge which was wonderful from the food and ambience to the level of care from all the staff. The accommodation was lovely and we slept really well. We will definitely be back. Food & drinks: Afternoon tea was both delicious and a wonderful experience.
Our stay at the Sofitel was one to remember. The hotel is in a great location and walking distance to every attraction in central London. The room we stayed in was spacious, modern and had everything you could want, such as a coffee machine, bottled water and a full mini bar with lots of options. The sound insulation is also excellent as at no point did we hear any of the rooms around us. The breakfast was great with many tasty options on the menu. We tried a number of dishes over the days we were there and all were made to order and fresh. The staff are really friendly and can’t help enough. The only disappointment was the hot tub in the spa. Only two of the jets were working and it felt more like a small pool rather than a hot tub. We did speak to the lady at the spa reception and she informed us that this is how it is… Despite this, I would highly recommend Sofitel as it’s a fantastic hotel in the most perfect location.
This was our second stay at Sofitel St.James for our 25th Anniversary. They made it so special and treated us like royalty from the special dessert and hand written note upon arrival in our room. Breakfast is amazing every morning. The staff is very attentive at all times. We had the same room on both stays, it was amazing. The bed was soft and comfy. Shower and tub. Special treats almost every day. My wife had a facial which she rated at 10. The young lady was very good and recommended products for her purchase upon completion. Love the products. Concierge was always very helpful. There was not a single staff member who did not smile at all times. Housekeepers were wonderful and came every night to turn down the sheets and prepare everything for sleep. Room service was great. We received a lovely departing gift with a handwritten note upon departure. My husband wanted fish and chips the night before we left. It is not on the menu. He went above and beyond to get my husband his fish. It was by far the best we had in London. We will always return to the Sofitel St. James when in London. A place where dreams come true. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Rooms: Luxury, bed is very comfortable. My favorite hotel in Europe. Bathrobes, slippers, everything you could possibly need or want. Nearby activities: Center of Westminster near everything we love about London. Safety: Very safe area Walkability: Hotel is within walking distance to many sites, shopping, pubs, theaters, etc.
This hotel is located near the Piccadilly Circus and is a great place to find peace amidst the hustle and bustle! It's very convenient to go to any place ! And the service of the hotel is very good! Every staff is excellent, from the front desk to the concierge department. All the staff are very friendly and they will solve all your problems! So I am very satisfied with this hotel!
Great location, fantastic staff, easily accessibility to any and everything in London. Very centrally located to Buckingham palace, Piccadilly Circus, and a few other places ask within walking distances, or taking the underground works well. Everything is contactless pay so be prepared and don't buy the day pass for the underground just tap and go much easier in my opinion. Rooms: Stunning !! Nearby activities: Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham palace Safety: Keep an eye out for pick pockets, bags should be zipped, and in the front. Watch your surroundings at all times especially when you are in close quarters with others. Walkability: Be prepared to walk everywhere! Food & drinks: Fantastic dining experiences everywhere you turn. Pick a cousine and go!
We had a lovely relaxing stay, my husband and I. The hotel interior/colours are vibrant and the rooms are comfortable and nicely refurbished. The breakfast had also a wide selection and everyting was good. Thanks to Stefania for helping us with our booking. Walkability: 5mins away from the tube station
The room was immaculately clean and well appointed. Extra ‘gifts’ each evening were very nice and welcome. Breakfast was tasty and promptly served. Staff were extremely efficient and some were very friendly. A high level of standards achieved throughout. Rooms: Worth the outlay to secure a good room. Very spacious for central London. Opulent.
Our second time at this hotel - from the welcome to housekeeping to bar staff everything was great. Will be booking another stay before the end of the year. Highly recommend this hotel. Location is also fantastic.Rooms: 5/5
Sofitel London St James always delivers with their signature great service from check-in to check out and they continue to do so during my stay. The staff may be busy but they always attend to you with smiles and grace. I am always amazed by their attentiveness to guests needs and the staff continues to deliver. Wonderful staff during breakfast who ensures that you start the day right - welcoming you with smiles and morning greetings that brighten your morning as you step in for breakfast. A special shout out to the young lady during breakfast - my apologies that I did not get your name - but you are ever so cheerful, polite and attentive. Thank you for making my day that much brighter in the morning. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped with toiletries from Diptyque. The hotel is well located being in the West End - but as it is situated along St James Street - a short distance from Piccadilly Circus and station, it is not crowded and rowdy. It's my home away from home and I will return anytime I'm in London.
