Been working in London for many years and stayed in probably 30 different hotels, but this is by far my favourite one. They really make you feel at home, nice pub, nice food, good breakfast and excellent service, not pretentious, just really, really good.
We booked the suite room, it was fantastic and breakfast choices were good.nnCheck in was great, shown to our room.and everything explained.nnThe actual pub is great.nnI would recommend if you're visiting the 02 academy.
I eat here occasionally and it's always great. Rammed on weekends but you can generally get a table. Love the dining room, ambiance is great.
Booked the private area in the beer garden for some post wedding drinks and would highly recommend. Booking process via Ann-Marie was really simple, the area was great and we had a really fun night.
I came to The Half Moon pub with some friends to try out their Sunday roast. Between us, we ordered the chicken , pork , beef and nut roast. Firstly, the Yorkshire puddings and gravy were delicious, as well as the potatoes but there definitely wasn’t enough. One of us got 4 potatoes whereas the rest of us only got 3. Two of us had the sirloin of beef roasts and the beef in both of our roasts was tough, chewy, hard and dry. We both had to leave a lot of it behind because it just wasn’t nice at all and when it comes to a roast , the meat is the most important part to get right so it was pretty disappointing considering it’s £23. Regarding the pork, it was also dry but still has good flavour. The chicken and nut roast was also just okay. Overall, the roasts weren’t bad but they also weren’t that great considering the price. I would come back but just for drinks and not for roasts as there’s a lovely outside area. Service was decent too.
