Me & my husband are on a trip to london and got reccomended the bar/restaurant here so we gave it a go and i am so glad we did! The drinks were amazing & staff were beyond accommodating! There was a lovely girl called Bridget serving us and she just went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience! Thank you Bridget
Nice little pub near where my brother has moved in, we did the pub quiz on a Wednesday and it was a lot of fun. Great service, and the Scottish girl who did the quiz was funny and charismatic. Beers were tasty, top vibes, and the food looked good.
It's an old hotel. There is a pub under the hotel, which makes it extremely noisy. Our room YOUNG is above the bar, and we couldn't sleep until the pub closed very late at night even using earplugs, you could hear the music. The windows are old, and you can hear everything from outside. This hotel is on a very busy street where you can hear a lot of sirens, loud motorcycles, buses, etc. Right below the windows, you have the terrace of the pub where people are screaming, laughing, and drinking until late. Also, you can hear the people walking and talking in the hall, and if someone opens the hot water in the next room, you can hear it too plus the sound of the fridge :/nnThe second night, we had to call the front desk because we didn't have hot water, and they had to restart the boiler.nnI asked twice the front desk to change is to an inner room, and they couldn't help me.nnThe curtains don't do a great job; they are thick and very dusty, but from the top side, all the light from the street comes in, to the point that you don't need lights on to see. And the train station is very close, so you can hear that too.nnAlmost at the end of our stay, when they cleaned the room, they threw away my face wash I use solid products like solid shampoo, solid conditioner, and solid face soap. I left the face soap on the sink, and when I came back, it wasn't there anymore.nnSo I do not recommend this place to stay.nnThe only wonderful thing is the food.nThe breakfast! It's really good! We had the opportunity to have dinner too and the food is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But unfortunately, it is not a good place to rest, even if you are not a light sleeper. It is hard, or at least in the rooms that are on the street side and on top of the pub.
I worked with Ann-Marie to book our wedding suite as well as to create a block for friends and family. Ann-Marie explained that they don't standardly offer blocks, but she did go above and beyond in every regard to assist with my friends booking several rooms around us at a discount due to the amount of inquiries they received. We also invited many friends and family to join us for Sunday Roast, Ann-Marie again went above and beyond to offer the immediate parents/family a snug and the rest of the folks staying at the hotel they allowed to post up 15 minutes early in the patio to reserve a spot as the dining room had already been booked. Communication was excellent over email, allowing for my wife and I to organize much of this well in advance as well as to pivot and make important changes up to the day. Service in the pub at in the hotel were excellent. All of my friends and family were very happy. Ann-Marie made sure to get my wife back a favorite earring that got lost on the floor. The pub itself is truly beautiful, the rooms are wonderful highly recommend the Armstrong suite--great for getting ready, relaxing, hosting, my wife who owns an events company says their Sunday Roast is excellent tough critic, friends and family enjoyed themselves inside as well as in the surrounding neighborhood without a hitch and they can sometimes be known to stay up late, and we could not be happier overall. We owe our thanks to Ann-Marie and the staff at Half Moon Herne hill for treating us so well. It will always stay a special place to my wife and I.
