We had an excellent stay at the Sandman Signature Glasgow Hotel. The property is exceptionally dog friendly, with accommodating staff and spacious rooms that make traveling with a pet comfortable and stress-free. There was some ongoing renovation construction happening across the street but it wasn’t bothersome or disruptive.nnThe hotel’s central location is a key advantage, offering convenient access to shopping districts, fantastic restaurants, historic pubs, and public transportation. The Sandman is an ideal choice for visitors especially pet parents! seeking both comfort and connectivity in the heart of Glasgow.
Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the MoneynUnfortunately, our stay was far from satisfactory. We encountered several issues that significantly affected our experience.nThe pillows were extremely hard and clearly very worn – they are in desperate need of replacement. There were also visible stains on the carpet, bed, and bedding, which made the room feel unclean and poorly maintained.nTo make matters worse, there was constant construction noise outside throughout our stay, which was very disruptive and made it difficult to relax.nThe car park was also a major issue. Around half of the spaces were far too small, making it stressful to park and manoeuvre without worrying about damaging the car. Considering we paid an additional £30 for parking, we expected a much better setup.nWhile the reception staff were friendly and polite, the overall experience did not meet expectations. For £202 total for two nights including the parking, we expected a far higher standard.nWe are extremely disappointed and, sadly, won’t be returning.
Cannot fault this hotel. Was originally booked in for an apartment but this popped up and looked really good. Didn't disappoint. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. The room was much bigger than I imagined. And had some lovely touches. Like the control for the lights behind the headboard of the bed. The simple to use heating system. The shower was absolutely amazing and powerful too. The bed was massive and the room was immaculate. 10/10 from me. Would love to come back in the future. Oh and it's in a superb location close to everything you could need. Until next time sandman!
Our first time staying here and was very impressed.nWe needed a pet friendly hotel last minute in Glasgow.nVery cost effective pricing but more importantly, they are well above and beyond with how welcoming they are with pets.nWe never like booking hotels because we have a Labrador and always get frowned upon other hotels in the past but Hal was amazing with us and was very friendly with our dog. They even allowed me to take her off the lead in the lobby when there was nobody around she’s always under control and that made my dog feel more relaxednRooms were great, hotel was clean, staff were amazing , best I’ve experienced in hotels. No negatives at all, will be booking again.nOnly downside I guess would be it’s a touch just out the centre but it’s only about a 15 minute walk to shops
Great option! We stayed overnight to watch a concert at the OVO. I thought it was very well located, between the arena and the bus station. Near a lot of great restaurants and pubs. Molly sorry if I got your name wrong was very nice and polite when we checked in. The rooms were clean and spacious. Loved the colorful lights. The bathroom very accessible for a bigger person. The breakfast buffet was tasty with many options. Great stay. Will be coming back later
