Wow! What an incredible overnight. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from check-in right through to checkout. The room was absolutely gorgeous and the location is breathtaking. We ate dinner in the pub and it was delicious, can't recommend the haggis enough! Service was great too and they're very dog friendly. Even leaving treats, poo bags, bowls and a bed in our room. Cannot recommend a trip here enough.
A great wee place and a regular haunt of mind. Not too far from the central belt. There is a choice of different rooms, which are located in various different buildings around the premises, each with their own charm and parking.nThe times I've stayed, I have had no issues with the rooms at all, some of which offer a fantastic Loch view, if that is your thing.nnFood wise, again, no complaints, prices are as you'd expect.nThe bar area around Christmas time is indeed quite magical.nnIt's worth noting though that it can be quite busy during the summer months and was/is always packed with West Highland Way walkers.
I recently stayed at the Oak Tree Inn as part of a writing retreat and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff were all lovely and so accommodating, my room was cozy, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the food was delicious. The St. Mocha coffee shop served up delicious lattes and treats, which I also thoroughly enjoyed. The Village Shop was the perfect place to pick up a few souvenirs, but was also well-stocked with essentials for walkers completing the West Highland Way.nnThe setting is absolutely beautiful and there are a number of shorter hikes that can be done in the area for people not doing the West Highland Way - I took advantage of my downtime to do a little exploring and was so glad I did. The view from Conic Hill was fabulous.nnThe Oak Tree Inn is something really special and I can't wait to return with my partner as part of a longer holiday in the area.
Excellant stay. great food , great room, great staff. Downside , no charging sockets in room so take your charger not just your cable, if you are in the cottage area, parking is about 60m before the Inn, we drove in circles b4 we had to asked at reception. There is no bar as you know it,,,,,,,walk in get a pint, need a wait for a seat and table number for a beer.
Booked a last minute table for 3 of us using the very easy online booking system. Arrived, shown to our table & given food & drinks menus. Couple of minutes later they came to take our drinks order & we were able to order our food at the same time. Food & drinks arrived very quickly. The food, steak pie was very tasty & well presented with fries or mash along with roasted vegetables & gravy. Excellent service & food. Well done
