I stayed at Moxy Glasgow for about a week during the Commonwealth Games 2026 as an athlete and the staff were lovely.nnI knew Moxy is a no-frills hotel designed for shorter stays, so I wasn’t expecting extras like a pillow menu. The only issue I had was that the standard pillows were a little too high for my small frame, which made sleeping comfortably a challenge.nnEllie was absolutely wonderful. Instead of simply saying there wasn’t an alternative, she came up with such a thoughtful solution. She noticed the decorative pillows in the lobby were much thinner and offered to put one into a pillowcase for me to try. It was such a simple but incredibly kind and creative idea…and it worked perfectly!nnIt’s gestures like these that make a stay memorable. Thank you, Ellie - it made all the difference to my stay!
The room is clean, big enough. My room's view was the deck of the parkinglot. Fine to stay if you are to visit a gig or event in the nearby buildings. But for an holiday the hotel area is not nice. Breakfast is good: continental with plenty healthy stuff to choose.
Stayed here for 14 days during Commonwealth Games! 5 min walk to Hydro.nnStaff were utmost friendly and helpful during meal services. Food served were delectable! Great music in the background to keep the fun vibes of Moxy.nnRooms have light sensors. The moment you step on the floor at night, the cove lights on the floor lights up, really cool!nnPlenty of power sockets. Instead of the usual wardrobe, the room provides 3 hooks and some hangars.nnDaily room service is available.nnPink serviettes will forever remind me of Moxy!nnPeople make Glasgow,nPeople make Moxy!nnCheers,
The Moxy is a stylish and reasonably priced hotel in the perfect location for events at the Hydro and SECC. A friend and I stayed in a twin room £103 and parked our car in the multi storey car park next door £12 for 24 hours if you validate your parking at hotel reception. The rooms are compact by design, but they are clean and well equipped with everything you should need for a night on the town. This includes coat hooks no wardrobe, a kettle with tea and instant coffee, a full length mirror, a well-lit bathroom mirror, plenty of plug sockets, TV, air conditioning, a window that opens although it can be noisy outside and comfy beds. Do note that there is no fridge, safe or workspace, however. Check out is at 12pm - which I very much appreciate after a big night. It was pleasantly busy in the bar / reception area. We were there for a concert, so the artist’s music was playing and we met a few fellow excited fans. There is a purple pool table and a photobooth, plus each guest is offered a complimentary welcome cocktail: peach iced tea served with or without gin. Now that’s my cup of tea ! The hotel seems to be pet friendly, as there is a station with water and treats next to the bar. It only takes a couple of minutes to walk to the nearby venues, Finnieston or Argyll Street - the latter of which is home to a selection of bars and restaurants. Overall, we both enjoyed our stay here and think it did add some pizazz to our concert experience!
The rooms are quite modern, but pretty small, even for just one person. Shower volume and pressure is amazing, so that's great! They also have some USB C charging ports, very convenient, and control of lights is good, but thermostat seem unresponsive it was warm the whole time. My door would not close! Fortunately they fixed that in a few hours or less. Breakfast was disappointing, as I always look forward to good European one, especially for cured or salted meats. Coffee came from an espresso machine, but it was quite good but you may have to stand in line for a bit. Juice was synthetic. Food in general is not very good. Employees were very nice, and the reception area is eclectically fun, with lots of seating. If your staying for the SEC, location is great, otherwise you're a bit away from things. There is no desk, just a bit of glass that a notebook does not fit completely on, so if you need more work space you'll have to use the public space on the ground floor.
