We stayed at Maldron Hotel Glasgow City for Valentine’s weekend while visiting Glasgow, and overall we had a lovely experience.nnThe staff were absolutely wonderful – friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. The food was very good, and our room was spotless with amazing city views, which made the weekend feel extra special.nnThe only drawback was that the room was quite cold at night. The thermostat doesn’t go above 23°C, but it honestly felt closer to 16–17°C in the room. The team kindly provided us with a portable heater, which did help somewhat, and we appreciated their effort to resolve it.nnUnfortunately, my wife has Raynaud’s and systemic sclerosis, so the cold temperature did cause her some discomfort and pain. It would be great if the heating could be improved or adjusted during colder months to ensure guests are fully comfortable.nnOverall, we had a very pleasant stay thanks to the excellent staff and cleanliness, and with a small improvement to the heating, it would have been perfect.
Lovely modern hotel very close to city centre. Staff in all areas are very welcoming and friendly. I stayed in a King Executive room on the 5th floor which was spacious and spotlessly clean. Rooms are located over 12 floors with 3 lifts. I had an evening light bite in the restaurant and breakfast the following morning. Both were very tasty. The cooked breakfast is buffet style from a “keep warm” serving station, but you can request poached/fried eggs to your liking. As with all serving station breakfasts the items are not always piping hot unless you get them when they’re just out the kitchen, but that’s my only negative. There are a good assortment of classic and continental breakfast items too. I asked for porridge and it was freshly made and brought to my table. I will definitely stay again in the future.
Victoria on reception went above and beyond prior to our stay organising a birthday card, sweets and biscuits as it was my daughters birthday. All staff are fantastic with nothing being too much trouble, the kitchen staff even baked cup cakes, decorated them and added candles. The room was spotlessly clean as was all areas of the hotel. Perfect location for all Theatre's. Will definitely choose this hotel on our next visit. Not even 10 minutes walk from the train station.
Fantastic 1 night stay at the Maldron Glasgow. Staff were very helpful and polite on check in, assisting us when we had an issue with the check in pod. Foyer welcoming and clean. Lovely room - clean, nice temperature, super comfy beds with lovely bedding, Safe and iron/ironing board in the room. Great nights sleep with non noise heard from outside or from the corridors.
Excellent, centrally-located hotel with plotless, well-equipped rooms. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice. We paid £85 for 2 including breakfast on a Friday night during Celtic Connections. Excellent value! Online check-in and check-out was so easy.
