Stayed overnight and found it to be great value. Our room was small but it was so clean and welcoming that I didn't mind the close quarters. The staff were perfectly polite, and the breakfast was impressively well-organised. It’s a solid spread, too—they even had black pudding and haggis, which really covers all the essentials. A good stay all around, and I’d certainly stay again.
My Mum and I recently spent 3 nights at The Grosvenor Hotel. We had a family room room 314 and it was exactly what we needed. Room was clean and spacious enough. We’d requested a fan which was in the room upon arrival. The bathroom was a great size. Buffet breakfast at the restaurant was good, good selection of food and it was tasty. We had dinner at Bo’Vine on our last night and it was nice but there are so many great places to eat nearby. We had a wonderful Indian at Bantawala by Masala one night - food was delicious and staff were so friendly.nTom on reception at The Grosvenor was so friendly and helpful. He is a great asset to the place. Thank you for a lovely stay.
In reply to Parminder P.nWhen we returned to your Hotel after an excellent evening meal.nWe entered reception at 9pm to find Begin bar closed. There was no one in reception to tell us that one of your bars were open. There was a gentleman sitting in the seated mezzanine working on a laptop. He’d had been there since we arrived at 12 noon. Could this possibly be a member of the management team. I am of course guessing.nBut if it was. It’s a sad state of affairs.nApparently it is no longer part of the Hilton Group. I cannot see anything on line concerning who actually runs the property.nI would also suggest that they are trading on the coatails of the past owners.
The hotel is in the perfect location. Nice rooms and comfy beds. No mini fridge unfortunately, but there's tea and coffee making facilities and a couple of biscuits. Also an iron and ironing board, TV and safe.nThe top of the wardrobe had the thickest dust I've ever seen.nThe staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar is very expensive.nParking on the top floor of the multi storey above waitrose is very reasonable. Just give the car registration to reception.nIf you dont take the botanical garden view, then you're overlooking the air con on the roof. So shut the curtains.
My wife and i stayed friday till monday . Firstly .Room was adequate . Dirty curtains but decent overall. Quite noisy with guests till early hours but not a big deal. Staff were awesome . Always attentive . Location perfect for nightlife and socialising
