Very nice tube station. Clean and tidy, but there are no lifts or escalators to the ground level. The escalators only reach the concourse or ticket hall.
Not step free, but OK for some limited mobility. Most of the work is done by escalators, access to/from the road is either eight steps or by some long ramps.
This was the last station to open on the Victoria line in 1972. It is also the only station on the Victoria line to have no interchange with a different line. There is lots of art to be seen along the platform and passage ways, which reflects its close proximity to Tate Britain.
A simple underground station that is served by the Victoria line. There is no disabled access to the ticket hall area only stairs from the entrance and then escalators only to the platforms.
No passport required....but a great place to stay in London whether on a boring business trip or a fun weekend away....loved the imposing regal buildings...the beautiful walk along the south bank of the Thames including the bohemian bar on a boat!...plus the ease of getting anywhere courtesy of the best Tube and bus network in the World!!
