This station is served by the Bakerloo Circle District & Northern lines. Can be very busy this station with lots of passengers interchanging for different lines. Inside the station is a bit of a maze getting around. There is no disabled access only stairs and escalators.
Embankment is a London Underground station in the City of Westminster, known by various names during its history. It is served by the Circle, District, Northern and Bakerloo lines. On the Bakerloo line and the Charing Cross branch of the Northern line, the station is between Waterloo and Charing Cross stations; on the Circle and District lines, it is between Westminster and Temple and is in Travelcard Zone 1. The station has two entrances, one on Victoria Embankment and the other on Villiers Street. The station is adjacent to Victoria Embankment Gardens and is close to Charing Cross station, Embankment Pier, Hungerford Bridge, Cleopatra's Needle, the Royal Air Force Memorial, the Savoy Chapel and Savoy Hotel and the Playhouse and New Players Theatres.
The bridge near the station is great point to stop at for a view of the city and the iconic London eye. Atop the bridge you can have good phtos and videos with the London Eye backdrop. If you're looking for an iconic photo of travel to London this is one place where you'd get an amazing shot without all the crowd!
Busy busy!! A nice station with loads of people with rush bush
The London Underground should be a wonder of the world! It’s just incredible, the history, the structures, the convenience. The price isn’t expensive either, I never buy an Oyster card anymore, I use my phone with Apple Pay to get in and out of each station, the price is capped no matter how many times you travel in a 24 hour period.nOnce you figure out which line you need and where to change should you need to it become very easy.
