Transport for London need to sack these useless staff and replace them with guide dogs —at least they’d be more alert and helpful. Then put the wage money back into Transport for London to tackle fare evasion properly , reduce revenue loss , and maybe even bring fares down for the people who actually pay .nnThis station is an absolute joke and the staff culture is the biggest problem. nThe main issue: staff don’t care and it shows nIf you’re wondering why there are so many fare dodgers here, it’s because there’s zero deterrent. People push through the barriers like it’s normal… and the staff just stand there. No urgency. No action. No accountability.nn Fare dodgers openly pushing through barriersnI’ve literally watched people shove through right in front of staff especially around 9pm and nothing happens.nIt sends a clear message: “Do what you want, no one’s stopping you.”nn Paying customers get treated worsenIf you’re a genuine customer and need help — wrong ticket zone, rail ticket issue, Oyster/contactless confusion, gate won’t open, you’ve got a buggy — suddenly it’s attitude, interrogation, and unnecessary drama.nSo basically: rulebook energy for honest people, and silence for the fare dodgers.nCustomer service is shocking ‍n Rude and dismissivenHalf the time you feel like you’re bothering them by asking a normal question.nYou don’t get help — you get a look.nn‍ Hopeless “not my job” vibesnPeople are confused, rushing, carrying luggage, trying to navigate, and staff just don’t step in.nWhen there are delays, or trains are running late, you the paying customer will be last to be informed.nn Phones, chatting, standing aroundnToo many staff are on their phones or talking like they’re on a break.nYou could replace the “help” presence with a sign that says “Good luck” and it would be the same service level.nnThe station itself is grim n Dirty + neglectednIt doesn’t feel clean, organised, or cared for.nn Disorganised layout + confusing flownWayfinding feels messy — it’s overcrowded, cramped, and stressful. Everyone’s funnelled into tight spaces while staff just watch.nn Constant disruption energynEscalators and gates feel like they’re always a problem.nAnd when something breaks or jams? You’re left waiting while staff act like it’s not urgent.nThe maddest part nThe best entertainment is watching the fare dodgers push through barriers with confidence… while a paying customer asking for a gate to be opened gets questioned like they’re committing fraud. Absolute backwards priorities.nnBottom line nRight now, it’s a dirty, disorganised station with staff who add no value and treat passengers like an inconvenience.
It's a huge train and transit station and interchange. It combines the bus, the tube, and intercity train networks all at one spot. The Gatwick express is also here. It can get quite confusing so make sure you know where you're going.nnEverything works, including the fact that there are step-free access to almost everywhere you need to be at. There are also quite a lot of retail and f&b shops, in case you need to grab some last minute items.nnOne thing to note, however, is that a huge station, albeit spacious, also means that there are quite some homeless flocking the area, so be mindful of your belongings.
A big station, as it serves as a interchange between Victoria, Circle and District Lines. The station has 3 entrances, the main one outside the national rail station concourse, the second on the east side of the bus station, and the third is in cardinal walk.nnThe station needs a refurbish on the inside, as there some leaks in some of the walkways between the platforms.nnThere is a big ticket hall, and the station is heavily staffed at all times. It is approximately 2 mins walk between district/circle line platforms to Victoria line platforms.
One of the better tube stations. Very clean, has step free access, mostly user friendly and is very clean. You can get off here for the district line which is the best line to get to Wimbledon The Championships, yet it is hard to get back to this station from Wimbledon.
A great train station and always busy. There are trains to many destinations and very frequently. Major improvements have greatly enhanced this station and further work is still going on. There are clean, large and free toilets here. Large displays show all the trains due to leave, with platform numbers and destinations clearly indicated.
