Very convenient location. Busy station because of a lot of tourist attractions around such as Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Apsley House, Willington Arch and many more.
Hyde Park Corner Underground Station can be found on the South East corner of Hyde Park. This station is on the Picadilly Line.nnThe station ticket hall is smaller than some, and some ticket machines can be found here. There are barriers that accept Oyster Cards or contactless bank cards or Google Pay / Apple Pay on your mobile. Always use the same card or device when tapping out.nnPlatforms have information boards that tell you when the next train will arrive and its destination.nnAccess to the platforms is by esculater.
The station is dirty. The trains come with a long time gap and full with no possibility to get in. There is no way to use Apple Pay to top up the oyster as the machines only receive physical card and cash in the 21st century they cannot add contactless in the tube which is madness. If you top up plaster online - you have to wait 30 mins. There is a news shop in the station, but it does not top up oysters there as in the other stations and has an unfriendly seller. This is very confusing why the underground stop in such a posh location looks like it’s been an apocalypse there. Ah the worst part is that this station is deep but there is no escalator to use downwards. Only steps!!! Shocking ! The rails are flooded, walls with mud and paint coming off……..
South east corner of Hyde park. Big station where you can grab the Piccadilly line from. Very old station but escalators available and also staff on hand if you need help finding somewhere or directions.
Busy underground station in Central London which is served by the Piccadilly line. The entrance to the station is under a subway tunnel currently the escalator going down is being fixed so a number of stairs to go down to the platforms.
